Erin remembers that day like it was yesterday, her 15th birthday, she had spent the day with her friends Anna and Addison at their house across the street, she was always closer with Anna, they'd been friends since the 6th grade, they had bonded over their love of chocolate and coloring, they were bestfriends every day after that, although not many people knew that. she loved anne platonically, they were always great friends and that meant everything to Erin.
She sat on Anna's bed as Addison left, "do you think you'll try out for the cheer squad with us? id love to have you there." Anna had asked, for as long as she could remember the wells family had loved cheerleading, it wasnt a bad thing either, it was one of the reasons why she felt so at home at their house.
Soon jennifer, her cousin approached, jennifer was beautiful, the type of girl you dream of looking like but jen couldnt see that for herself, her bright red curly afro only made her beautiful mixed skin tone more beautiful, "Erin, why are there police cars and an ambulance at your house?" she asked. before i knew it i was running outside in a hurry
Erin stepped outside to see a body on a gurney, in a black body bag, "VICTOR." she ran towards the house, "miss, you cant go in there," an officer said, "this is MY godamn house, move." she screamed in anger. he let her go, the girl letting out the loudest scream and dropped to her knees, she heard rushed footsteps running towards her, wrapping her up, "shh tori im here." jennifer's voice whispered as she screamed at the top of her lungs. she stayed there for what felt like hours
that day drained her but she was home gathering her things, until she found a note
Victoria, this isnt your fault,
its all too much.
the things i dont regrets
is being your brother
and taking care of you.
i will always be proud of you forever sweetheart
xoxo, your vicshe put the note in her wallet and hasnt took it out since, keeping it with her at all times
