after graduation, Erin found herself by shore, in her one piece swimsuit, as she sat down, a million thoughts going through her head, she had this huge fear of growing up, after turning down her scholarship to mountain to stay with Matt and her friends in Seabrook. she put her feet in the water relaxing almost immediately.

thankfully Matt was on the rocks not far from shore, he dove into the water to go and see her.

Erin was about to pull her favorite snack out but when she saw Matt's reflection in the water she waited patiently. it didn't take him long.

as their head popped out of the water, "hey!" Matt greeted looking at Erin, noticing something was wrong, "hows life on land?"

Erin gave a small smile as she answered, "you know, the constant pressure from the adoptive parents to be an adult, the usual." she looked at him, "hows king of the sea life?" she asked kindly, hopping in the water, keeping her left arm out of the water so her V-Band , the bruises all over her arm, quite visible

Matt nodded as he listened, he knew erin's adoptive parents weren't the biggest fans of her. "stressful...I'm still learning.." he answered giving Erin a small smile, "it would be easier if my older brother was the king..." he admitted

Erin couldn't tell if he was sad or not so she tried to joke, "am I keeping you from your kingly duties?" she didn't break eye contact, "I really wish we both had the ability of freedom, we both really deserve better than this pressure."

Matt smiled a bit, "oh its fine, I have king duties but currently right now is my free time." Matt explained, "I wish that too..honestly I wish I could walk on land twenty four seven..all I have is royal subjects down there..no friends...no family, all my friends are on land."

Erin looked at Matt, she almost couldn't believe it, Matt was always kind to her so it was hard for her to imagine people not wanting to be friends with him, "would your such royal subjects be mad if I stole you for an hour? i could take you to my secret picnic spot and answer all your questions about this place." Erin suggested, "I promise I'll bring you back." she reassured

"I hardly think so.. unless my so called caretaker is watching me," Matt said, "he has better things to do...so I'd really like that." Matthew couldn't stop smiling as they was feeling more of a happy vibe than he had felt before.

"Well then I'm so glad I brought my water bottle." Erin scrunched her nose, she tends to scrunch her nose when shes in complete happiness, she hasn't done it since they met. "I promise no fish jokes today." she joked, when she noticed him smiling, her smile growing wider

"you and your fish jokes...I know I'm a fish but geez." Matt said with a small laugh, "what would I do without you?" he asked, know the answer would be passing out and dying.

"live without hearing fish jokes that , make you cringe? or dead from boredom." she joked and looked at him with a serious gaze, "I'm really glad I met you, King Matthew." she smiled as she looked at them.
