Addison: Welcome to Seabrook, We're a perfectly planned Community. We all have perfect homes, perfect clothes, the perfect life. Yep. Everything was perfect.
Zed: until it wasn't. Who would have thought that an accident involving lime soda would set off the apocalypse.
Anna: and when the contaminated green haze blew west, people weren't not happy.
Zack: because it turned them into... zombies.
Veronica: Thats right. Zombies!
Zed: Brain eating..zombies.
Jennifer: Dark and gory times.
Erin: but we built a big barrier to protect us from the zombie hordes. Safe at last, Seabrook could finally get back to our "perfect" lives.
Zed: Well, a lot has changed since they built the barrier fifty years ago. Science found a much better way to deal with zombies, and you know what happened to those old brain-eating monsters?
Zack: Well, they still have to live on this side of the barrier, but now... they're awesome!
"we're zed," zed started, "and zack" zack smiled before running out earning a chuckle from his twin brother. "and yeah im a zombie." zed spoke once again. walking over to his closet zed started to speak once again, "zombies have to wear goverment issued coveralls, but we make 'em look cool." he stated holding one up,"and we have a curfew, and for a long time, we were forced to stay in Zombietown, but we've come a long way since the outbreak." he started " Thanks to the Z-Band. This puppy delivers a dose of soothing electromagnetic pulses that keep us from eating brains. Now zombies can live happy lives and handsome, yet humble, kids," he said as he got up grabbing his football, "so things are changing. Todays's the first day we can attend human high school... and i get to try out for the football team.
Addison looks herself in the mirror cheering before she waved, "Hi, i'm Addison! ive crushed cheer summer after cheer summer of cheer camp, but today's my shot at making the Seabrook Cheer Squad! you make cheer and you fit in. " she walks to her bathroom looking in the mirror, " and why wouldn't i fit in? im a totally normal teen. well...except for this." she messed with her wig. Jennifer watching her from the doorway, " born with it. doctors cant explain it. they think its some rare genetic thing. i cant dye it. nothing sticks. ive tried everything." addison explain, "you're still beautiful addison, no matter what." jennifer spoke giving a hug and walking off with a smile. Addison gave a chuckle, "in some places, this hair might be odd in like a cool way but not in seabrook. people her hate everything thats different, if anyone outside my family found out i wore a wig.." she scoffed with a sigh, "i would never be allowed to cheer. so ive worn a wig for as long as i could remember.
as addison's parents were talking about addison's wig, jennifer looked at anna and laid her head on anna's shoulder, she thought addi and anna were perfect so she wished they could be themselves. Jen sat up and whispered to Anna, "you both are gorgeous, wig or no wig, I want you to know that." she pulled back and finished her morning salad with a small smile towards the twins.
Jennifer walked behind Addison and Anna, spotting her cousin and catching up with Erin and linking arms with her watching addison, that's when Erin spoke up, "feeling better?" Erin had asked resulting in a nod from jennifer, "if he doesn't care then he can lose me forever, I don't care anymore, I miss my mom though." she admitted, Erin gave a side hug, "we got this Jen, at least you have brad!" she cheered Jennifer matching her energy, "at least you have your mystery boy." she gave a smile but erin's expression stayed the same making Jennifer wonder, was she happy in her relationship? who was the boy? maybe one day she'd tell her
Erin followed behind her boyfriend, Bucky, the only person who knew was Anna. listening to his conversion with Addison, Erin was rolling her eyes as the aceys walked away, Bucky turning towards her, "you should smile more babe." he spoke, "said literally every man ever." Erin spoke raising her eyebrows with a silent laugh, "what happened over the summer? I missed you Erin." he spoke trying to kiss her , she backed up, she wont kiss him, in her mind, she knew he wasn't the one, and she'd want her first kiss to be taken by someone who cared about her, that wasn't Bucky, he cared about being loved, but not her feelings, "my brother died hon, I'm not the same girl you were with before, it's come to the air that you wont tell anyone about me, I'm not a secret for you to keep." she spoke her eyes watering slight not visibly, "with the zombies coming, I need you Erin, I need you to not tell anyone." he pleaded, she rolled her eyes, "what happened to you? you used to be kind." he added glaring at Erin. she pressed her tongue to her cheek, "i..I'm sorry, the niceness died when my brother did." she spoke honestly and freely, "I'll see you Bucky," she pushed her lips together walking away and walked down the halls, why was she acting like this? she couldn't even figure it out, she thought something must be wrong with her but I mean her brother did die two days away and maybe this was part of it.
Jennifer and Erin ran running into Bucky , "I cant find Addison!" Jennifer worriedly spoke as they followed Bucky to the zombie safe room, erin's eyes rolling once again at everyone's remarks. was everyone this dramatic?
Erin walked with the aceys in a cheer uniform , her wig hiding her bright red hair. she sat on the bleachers, observing the dancing. her eyes on 23, Bree. she noticed Bucky and walked over, "23 is good, would be a good flier." she whispered and walked over to the aceys. she listened to Bucky becoming annoyed at how much they were dragging zombies she looked over to Jennifer, glad to be on the squad with her, and someone new, Veronica, she liked her, she was nice, kind and good at cheer.
Jennifer stood with Bree & Addison, with a box of eggs, she seemed to be the only one not scared, looking at zed, she sighed, had they really did this, she knew Erin didn't, she got on the squad out of connections and her talent. therefore didnt do inication. she looked at Addison, "they've always been harassed, this is the norm for anyone who isn't perfect." she answered Addison as they walked home.
