it was summer, while everyone was at camp, Jennifer was with her sister, princess. she was swimming around talking with her before she noticed the same person as before, Maxi. she looked at him, this time they had made eye contact, "I could introduce you," princess offered, Jennifer looked to her, "no, its fine! even if we did meet I'm quite forgettable." she spoke, that was just how Jennifer saw herself, she never felt confident, after being cheated on, pushed aside and forgotten, she couldn't help herself, she thought she'd never love herself, even if everyone saw her as beautiful and kind. she'd never be as loved as Erin, at least in her mind
when Jennifer returned for another visit, "Maxi asked who you were," princess had informed, "and what did you say?" Jennifer asked looking over, "I said, Princess of Oceania, Jennifer, my sister." the sister spoke, "I think you should meet them." she spoke and Jennifer nodded, finally giving in. soon merchildren ran to Jennifer, they has been familiar with her since she came so often, she picked up two of them and started laughing with them, she had always loved children, she had a way of connecting with them that not a lot of people had, it was one of jennifer's best qualities, not only was she great with kids, she always glowed when she was around them, she was always beautiful, but when she was with kids it was different, it was like when people do something kind and it makes you more fall for them, that was Jennifer, she was so kind and beautiful it was unreal.
That's when Maxi showed up, he approached Jennifer and cleared his throat, Jennifer looked at the merkids and put them did, " go play okay? I promise I'll be back tomorrow." she spoke watching them swim away and smiled at the sight watching Maxi and listening to princess, "Maximus this is Jennifer, my sister, Princess of Oceania." princess spoke up, Jennifer looked at the stranger, he was beautiful, appearance wise he was perfect, when he looked at her it almost made her nervous, his beauty scared her, "why haven't we met before? you seem to know all the merkids and you're microdelias sister." he asked he tone unreadable, "I live on land, I don't always have the time." Jennifer admits, "I go to school, I'm in dance , I have three adopted siblings, plus we just had a death in the family, so i've been taking care of the person's sister, my cousin." Jennifer explained watching Maxis face, it was unreadable, which confused her, "I should go..I'll see you next time princess." Jennifer spoke, her whole mood changed as she looked back to Maxi, "i'd say nice to meet you however, you wont remember me, nobody does, no offense." Jennifer had spoken again, this had peaked Maxis interest based on his face, "none taken, you shouldn't assume though." he spoke up causing Jen to cross her arms, "when patterns are formed you tend to assume." she spoke coldly, "now you've peaked my interest." she admits.
its hard to believe two days later Bucky was back crying about another monster species, Jennifer couldn't believe it she sat on the bleachers paying attention. Jennifer watched as monster laws were reinstated, gasping and feeling her eyes water, now she could never say anything, she found herself running out, she couldn't do this right now, what is wrong with this town?
Jennifer was still upset the next day at school she stood there watch the class president assembly, "Bucky has been going crazy about winning." Erin spoke to Jennifer, Jen only inhaled sharply this was all dumb to her, maybe because of everything going on." she listened to Bucky rolling her eyes to the back of her head, espescally about zed not being able to run. she knew who had her vote. while everyone was running Jen protected Anna and Addie, prepared to break her V-Band and expose herself if necessary. when hearing they weren't going to hurt them, Jennifer relaxed. this school could use some maturing.
it had been busy since the wolves gotten to town, Jennifer had been hanging out with Maxi and Princess a lot, she had grown to like Maxi, he was an absolute ass at times but shed like to thing that they're friends. the night Addison went missing Jennifer and Erin went looking, they had went public about their vampirism and they were happy about it, "I got a text from Bucky he found Addison and he wants to meet," Erin cheered. Jennifer and Erin had met with them to be faced with Stacey, Jennifer looked at her scared, this wasn't good she knew it, when she turned around Erin was already tied to what looked like a cross, she felt hands holding her, "NO NO GET OFF ME." she screamed out in fear as they tied her to a tree, she felt the tears fall down, she was so scared. that's when Bucky appeared grabbing onto erin's face, "you know why this is happening, go ahead tell your cousin Tori." he spoke, Jennifer looked to Erin, "when we told everyone we were vampires, Bucky didn't have anything to hold over me anymore." Erin spoke as Jacey took off Jens V-Band, Jennifer hissed at him, her fangs showing, "let Erin go, I'll take the pain." Jennifer let out, as she felt numb, that night Bucky and her made a deal, Jennifer would take the bullying and pain if Erin was left alone until they graduated. Erin was let down, Jennifer looked at her, "just run vic, Victor wouldn't forgive me if I let you die, I love you Erin, take my phone and text Princess and Maxi." she asked, when Erin went away Jennifer cried out, "we'll start tomorrow, now, leave me here."
it took the government two hours to get her a new band and a little bit of blood so she didn't die. she had met up with her cousin and gotten her phone, she noticed Maxi had called and decided to text him, "I'll be at our land meeting spot." the text read as she made her way there.
as she arrived Maxi was already there, Jennifer was still crying, she was a mess, when she spotted Maxi, she broke. she ran to him hugged him, "i-i thought I was gonna die and i-" her breath hitched, her voice broken, sobs escaping her lips, she thought he wouldn't want her in his arms and pushed herself off her eyes pouring she turned away from him, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." she cried out and tried to breathe, "why do you do that?" he asked touching her shoulder, "you have to understand, I'm the cousin of the Erin lakis-brown, the only boyfriend I've ever had cheated on me, my father loves all of his daughters but not me, he told me he doesn't want to take care of me, every friendship and relationship I try out is ruined, I'm just meant to be in the background." she cried covering her mouth, Maxi looked at her in shock much like he didn't know what to say. Jennifer looked to him and Maxi pulled her in hugging her, jennifer laid her head on his shoulder and cried. she sniffled and decided to put her trust in Maxi that night.
that night changed Jennifer it was the worst night of her life. and she was never the same.
