(24) WELCOME BACK

Holding stability of missions and memories the long thirteen years had passed. Not only Subhadra but also each character around her or away from her had their missions in these years. Pandav brothers had the missions of healing their broken bonds with Draupadi, increasing their strength pleasing divinity, and last but not the least completing the one year of incognito, successfully.

Actually the success of twelve years of exile of Pandav brothers was depended on the one year of incognito during which if they got caught then they would have to start the exile of twelve years, once more. Duryodhan had the mission of figuring out their whereabouts during incognito for which he had tried all the way, but couldn't do so.

During few final days of incognito Duryodhan found that Pandav brothers had taken shelter in Virat Kingdom. He planned to wage a war on Virat after the death of its commander Kichak who was the main pillar of protection of Virat. Duryodhan was expecting Pandav brothers to come out for protecting Virat kingdom, but to his bad luck the period of incognito was completed before his attack on Virat.

It was different that Duryodhan wasn't ready to accept the truth of completion of incognito.

After completion the full term of exile Arjun headed towards Dwarka to meet Subhadra. Rest of his family were residing at Virat being the royal guest of that kingdom.

Each time he was crossing the distance of his destination leading the journey to meet the most awaited joy of years he was feeling nervousness overpowering his excitement. Arjun knew everyone in Dwarka must be waiting for her, and he was sure to receive a heartily welcome from everyone, yet he was nervous.

He was nervous thinking how would he face the family whom he had promised to fill their daughter's life with love, care and each kind of comfort possible on his part. He loved her always, he cared for her always even after being away from her, but he couldn't fulfill the promise of comfort for her.

He had heard about all the struggles Subhadra had faced in thirteen years. All the sages and wanderers came to the area where he had lived with his brothers used to praise Subhadra for her serenity against the storm of her life. Each time he head her praising he experienced both pride and pain at the same time.

The pride of being her soulmate and the pain of not stand with her had mixed impact on his heart.

Being lost in those moments of melancholy he didn't even realise when he made his way into boarder of Dwarka. The hailing of his and flower showering by subjects made him come back to reality.

The sounds of conches and drums rang louder once he entered into the main entrance of palace. Pradyumn along with his brothers came forward to welcome Arjun and to escort him to the place where everyone of family was waiting for him.

Everyone was smiling at him. Some new faces caught his attention. They were none other than Abhimanyu and his brothers. Pradyumn introduced them to Arjun. One by one they touched Arjun's feet seeking his blessing and earning hugs from him.
