Luo Bei has always been popular since she was young. Now that she has entered society, she gets along well with her colleagues in the company. Some people say that Friday is the most satisfying day of the week because it’s close to Saturday and Monday feels so far away. Even though it’s not yet six o’clock, some colleagues have already started tidying up their desktops.

When the bell for the end of the workday rings, Luo Bei looks at her phone and sees that Zhou Jianguo has sent her a WeChat message saying that he is already waiting for her downstairs.

As she was preparing to leave, a new female colleague who started working at the same time as Luo Bei comes to her desk and asks, “Beibei, do you have plans tonight? If not, let’s go eat at a buffet. I had plans to go with my boyfriend, but he has to work overtime today. But I really want to go…I’ll treat you!”

Normally, Luo Bei would have said yes without hesitation, but not today…

She shakes her head and says apologetically, “I already have plans with someone. He’s waiting for me downstairs. Why don’t you ask someone else to go with you? Or maybe you could go eat with your boyfriend tomorrow?”

“Plans with someone? A guy or a girl?” The new colleague grabs Luo Bei’s hand curiously and asks, “Is it your boyfriend?”

There are more girls than guys in this trading company, and some male colleagues are either married or have girlfriends. As for the rest…let’s not even talk about them. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that Luo Bei is the most beautiful woman in the entire office building. But she still doesn’t have a boyfriend, which makes some of her female colleagues very curious.

Luo Bei shakes her head and says, “It’s not my boyfriend, just a neighbor. We have a good relationship and we’re going to eat together tonight because we have something to discuss.”

She still knew her limits. Even though the business of the unmanned store was slowly picking up, she only briefly mentioned it to the female boss and didn’t mention it to other colleagues.

Zhou Jianguo also reminded her not to talk about the store or stocks with her colleagues. The reasons were unclear, but that’s just how society works. People might conceal things from their friends, let alone their colleagues.

The two of them walked out of the company together and entered the elevator. It was the end of the workday, and the elevator was crowded.

Although Luo Bei thought she was low-key, her outstanding appearance made most of the men in the building recognize her, and many of them had struck up conversations with her, passing her their business cards and asking for her contact information.
