The Queen of Hearts Backstory

Back in time

Have you ever wondered why the Queen of Hearts is so angry? Or why she is always shouting off with your head but never kills anyone or even why she is a mad goose? Well, it all started with the Queen of Hearts parents and her "perfect" sister and her parents, when the Queen of Hearts was just a child. But in order for this to be properly explained we will need to go back in time.

For as long as she could remember, her parents hadn't paid much attention to her. Lucy, was the outcast sister. Lucy would always be the first to finish any and all work she was given. So she would always be the first to show her work to her parents. However, they would always dislike any of her work. Not only that, but whenever her sister Elizabeth was done. Lucy would always be compared to her. "You should be more like your sister. She's so perfect!" That's just about the only words they would ever say to her.

One day, her parents made Lucy so mad she went on a rampage destroying everything and anything in sight. But still, no reaction from her parents. So, Lucy packed up her bags and ran away from home. As Lucy was running, Elizabeth was shouting for her to come home, apparently someone cares about her. Lucy looked back to her sister, then just as she turned around she ran into an old clock that two me n were carrying. She fell back with a thud and lay there unconscious.

The next day Lucy woke with nurses surrounding her and a pounding in her head. Apparently her parents still had no care in the world for her, treating her as though she were invisible. As she went to feel her head a nurse told her not to touch her head. Lucy didn't listen. When she felt her head it felt as though it were shaped like a heart. After that day her parents went on ignoring her for years. But it happened even more because of her head.

After many years it was time for Lucy and Elizabeth to claim the throne together. After some time of ruling with her sister, Lucy got an idea. She will shout off with your heads to her parents to get them executed, for all they have done to her over the years of her life. So the next day, she set her plan into action. She brought her parents to the guillotine in front of a huge crowd.

"Off with their heads!" She shouted.

So that's what happened. Now, of course, Lucy got kicked off the throne because you can't have a murderer as a Queen. Little did Lucy know the only reason that the only reason that that her parents heads were cut off is because everyone was to scared of her to contradict her. 

While life did go on the Queen of Hearts, to this day she remains angry at her parents. She is power hungry because she didn't get the respect she deserved as a kid. Then there is still the issue of her shouting "Off with your head!" She does this because it gives her power. She doesn't kill anyone because she has a teeny tiny soft spot for people who treat her right. Now, finally, on to her name. The reason she prefers being called the Queen of Hearts is because the Queen of Hearts is more daunting than Lucy. Lucy is a nice sweet name. That doesn't suit a scary women such as the Queen of Hearts now does it?
