Daniel frowned as he watched Clara pack her things. "I still don't understand why you can't just fly with me." he said. Clara sighed and turned to him, she raised an eyebrow at him. "Because media will be there and so will the fans."

The PR Manager had explained it to him multiple times. She had to admit, she had gotten used of Daniel being there all the time, waking up to him there, it saddened her that they would be back to normal life. She knew Daniel would be extra sad but so was she.

A few hours later, the two stood there, not knowing what to say. Daniel looked at her, not wanting for them to part while Clara was looking at him with hesitation. The time she had stayed with him, she was introduced to a very different Daniel. Max was right, Danny was more than a nice guy, and Clara knew that. She had learned about him in a way that would make her heart swell and jump.

She had memorized his laughter, the way he moved around the kitchen, his choice of movies and songs, his smile and yawns, his presence.

Clara let out a breath and smiled sadly at him, "I'll see you at Azerbaijan-" she was cut off by Daniel.

He stood closer to her and grabbed her hand. Her eyes looked at their hands, her cheeks burning up and her heart racing. She gulped, she scolded herself. She shouldn't be feeling this way, this was new and scary, she didn't want to get carried away. Not right now anyways.

"Lara." he called out to her. Her eyes travelled back to his. He tilted his head, he knew she was overthinking. It wasn't just Clara who got used to his presence. Daniel had learned so much about Clara. How she likes her coffee, how loud she likes the volume of the telly would be, how many blankets she needs to fall asleep to, how cold her showers, and how she would fall asleep on his shoulder without her knowing.

It had happened multiple times, but Daniel didn't want to make it awkward between them so he would lay her down carefully, pillows around her and blankets on her. He would sit on the other side of the couch or the bed and fall asleep there. Clara never had an idea how she would cuddle up to him or clung onto him because Daniel respected her.

"Yes Danny?" she asked, squeezing his hands a bit. He blinked and gulped, he slowly intertwined their fingers, "Promise me, when we're there, you won't shut me out."

Clara frowned and her eyebrows furrowed, "Danny..." But Daniel wasn't done, he didn't want them to come back to when the Australian GP started. He wanted them to stay the way they were right now. He liked where they were now.

"That you won't act weird around me. Please treat me the way you treat Max."

"I won't push you away Danny. I promise."
