A/N - IK that the animation 'ruined' the whole au but....I LIKE HIS DESIGN SO FUCK THAT!

(I was listening to 'GMFU' as inspiration to write... Be warned..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I Rough idea- honestly don't know where I got this but technically, the cast of welcome home got rebooted and got all their memories/files deleted except..y/n. So they're technically a glitch that home is trying to fix but just can't.Y/n has all the memories of the 'old' welcome home and is trying to un-delete the memories of Wally. I THOUGHT OF THIS FROM THE ONE SONG 'everyone is dumb'.....help-

Wally's P.O.V-

    Y/n always seemed a little...off. But Julie insisted that I came and invited them to the neighborhood celebration that I always host every year. So here I am, at their doorstep...Ever since i've met them, they made me.....uncomfortable? This feeling..Like I knew them for a long time but...They are just a new addition to the neighborhood. I look at the doorbell and hesitantly ring it. Nobody answered. I then turn around but hear a creak..Oh god.

I turn around and see y/n in their usual outfit. They have slightly messy hair but it looked a bit aesthetic. They raise an eyebrow and I snap out of my thoughts.

"Hello, neighbor. I am here to...ask you if maybe you wanted to..Go to the neighborhood celebration today?"

'Damn, why am I so nervous..' I asked myself as I looked at them with a bit of hope in my eyes. They've always been..Distant. I never got to know them except for the few times I've seen them [insert activity]...But that only happened once. They look so familiar..But I don't know where. It's like a lost memory...

"..Sure?..Would you fancy some tea?" they said in their casual tone as they got out of the way and gestured me inside. I then stepped inside and went into their dining area. Their house looked..Cozy..It made me feel safe..Why does it look so goddamn familiar?

I sit in a chair where I can get the perfect view of the window to the outside....They come in with 2 teacups and a pot, two tea bags, and a few more additions(Sugar cubes, milk, ect.). They set it down on the table and go back to the kitchen to get the scones. Once they come back and set them down on the table, they have a seat themselves. They gesture to me to make my tea to my liking so I do as told.

They take a sip of their tea as they look at me with their e/c eyes.

"So, a celebration, huh?"

"Yes, me and Julie were hoping that you might be able to come along. Since, she wants to get to know you better."

Their gaze softened as they looked around. They had a calm expression but it felt like..They knew something I didn't... I started to feel uncomfortable due to the silence, y/n might have picked up on this so they spoke up.

"I see..You guys are still clueless, huh?"

"What do you mean?"

They slightly chuckled and looked at me with a more...sinister look.

"You'll have to figure it out on your own...Reboot."

I was confused...Reboot?

"What?"

"I'm just playing with ya'.."

I sighed in relieve, so this was just a prank..Right?

"But you're still a reboot...As well as the rest of our friends. The original cast got...deleted..." 

Their gaze looked..sorrowful....

"If only you'd remember, the memories that everybody made in the past."

I looked at them with a very suspicious look. Are they okay?

"You don't believe me..Do you?"

"n-not really"

Their eyes landed on a picture they had on the wall. They then stood up and walked towards it. They gestured me to follow so I did as told...They took the painting off of the wall and revealed a safe with a password keypad on it.

"You should remember this. Try to open it."

I tried to open it...I failed...

"try to remember..please?"

I tried to remember to the most I could but...I just couldn't.

"I'm sorry."

"...Hmm.." They looked around and saw a small jewelry box...At least that's what I think it is.

(I'm about to pull an 'Anastasia'..If ya' know, ya' know)

They looked at me and gestured towards my pin (The cross he has on his sleeves in the original)...

"What about it?"

"Since when did you get it?"

"Ever since I can remember....I've had it for a long time"

"...Maybe you should do it." 

They then handed me the jewelry box...I took the pin and looked at them in hope of instructions.

"Man, they really rebooted you well." they said in a slightly teasing voice as they took my hand with the pin in it and helped me place it on the box..The pin fit on the top of the box, which looked like it was missing a piece...They looked at me and let go of my hands. I could feel my face growing slightly hot from the sudden action.

"Just do the same thing" They said as they pointed towards the pin and to the bottom of the box. I looked at the pin, then the box. I put the pin in it's place and placed it upright. A small version of..me?....And...y/n were.....A smaller version of...weird me and neighbor with a weird outfit were sitting on the ground while holding an apple. A small lullaby was also playing.

The lullaby seemed...Familiar... I inspected it a bit further and looked at Y/n with a confused look. They sighed and gently took the box. They walked swiftly to their room. I followed since I was curious. They then took a few blankets and flowers as well as chocolates in a small valentine's box that was shaped like hearts. They placed the things so....Precisely and then added a white sheer curtains. The sunset was shining through the window.

They then picked up a f/c cardigan and put it on. After that they sat down on the window sill and looked at me. Then they had a face of realization and got up to get the music box.

They set the last piece..the box...they set it on a window sill and then it hit me like a rock....I've seen this before....But where?

They looked at me like they were hoping for something... I saw their face..Why can't I remember. Why can't I remember. WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER!? I felt like I was about to cry when I saw their face, because they were crying. I went and hugged them and they did the same. After a few minutes they looked up at me with that look of hope in their eyes.
