I parked my brand-new jeep, carefully stepping out in my white power suit and high heels. And only then did I fully comprehend the gravity of my surroundings. The huge complex loomed before me, a world far removed from anything I had ever experienced.

In the distance, I spotted a group of rugged individuals, clad in leather jackets adorned with patches and emblems that represented their brotherhood. The roar of motorcycle engines echoed in the air, creating an atmosphere of both excitement and a hint of danger. This was a world I had only seen in movies, but here I was, standing in the middle of nowhere, in an Armani suit and shoes that cost a small fortune, wondering where my common sense was when I drove through that gate. Yes, this is a scene straight out of a movie, but which one: action, horror, or something even worse?

As I scanned the crowd, I couldn't believe my eyes when I recognized familiar faces—Sara and Isabella, my long-lost friends, amongst the boisterous group. It was a sight I never anticipated, and I found myself questioning what Sara was doing in such an unconventional setting.

Confusion clouded my thoughts. What could have brought Sara to a place like this? Had she changed so much since we lost touch. I remember her as a reserved and composed girl, with a clear focus on her career. The idea of her mingling with bikers seemed incongruous with the image I had of her in my mind. Now, I was genuinely worried.

Sara rushed to me with open arms, and we embraced tightly.
"I wasn't sure what scared me more – your call or the journey here!" I said with a smile, trying to conceal my anxiety.

Sara's eyes sparkled with excitement as she replied, "You have no idea how much we've missed you, Sky."
Isabella chimed in, her  voice filled with genuine happiness, "It's been far too long. We've got so much to catch up on. But first, you have to help Sara. You're the only one, Sky, who can do it."

Even though I was now more confused than ever, realizing that they were safe while I was still on edge, it somehow reassured me. But there was still a strange feeling coursing through my body. I felt a flutter of nerves in my stomach and a tingling sensation running down my spine. Something was strange.
From the group of bikers standing outside the house, one man caught my eye. Dirty blonde hair, deep blue eyes, and a boyish smile that played at the corners of his lips. Everything about him exuded confidence and assurance.

As he approached, Sara eagerly introduced him. "This is my fiancé," she said with excitement. "I know I called you for something else, but let's start with the good news. This is Duke."

"I'm Sky, nice to meet you," I said, extending my hand. "I hope you treat her like a duchess and protect her," my voice carrying a hint of sincerity and concern.
His smile widened. "Well, let's just say my idea of 'protecting' Sara involves 'breaking the hand of anyone who dares to touch her' , while hers is more 'everything can be resolved with words.' So, it seems like you're the one stepping in now. You're the famous, fancy lawyer for the wealthy who never loses a case."

"Thank you, but this is a bit exaggerated. I'll do my best to help as much as I can," I said with a humble smile.

"The best thing to do would be to go inside and discuss it in detail. It's a delicate matter," Sara said. "I'll briefly introduce you to everyone who might be helpful with information related to the case."

Okay, the pieces of the puzzle are slowly starting to fall into place. Sara really does need my legal help.
And that was the moment, as if an imperceptible force rooted me to the spot the instant I tried to take another step forward. As I turned over my shoulder, there he was. In all his grandeur, wearing a black shirt, a vest, ripped jeans, and boots. Leaning against the wall of large garage with one foot, his arms folded across his chest. Though several meters away from me, his magnetic gaze stopped my breath when our eyes met. Yes, it was definitely him. It was as if time had rewound, and I was that naive young girl again while he played the role of the captivating charmer who knew precisely how to quicken my heartbeat.

This is not possible. Life really has peculiar ways of playing with our destiny, but after all this time? And now?

"Is everything okay?" Sara asked me.

I looked at her and replied, "Yes, yes, everything is fine. It just seemed like... I saw someone."

When I looked again in the same direction, he was no longer there. Okay, my mind is playing tricks on me. The sound of the engine and the scent of gasoline and motor oil must be contributing to my hallucination.

"Anyway, let's go inside, tell me everything in detail," I said to Sara as we entered the building.
