Klaus and Elijah were sitting in the living room, reading.
Klaus was reading 'A Poison Tree' by William Blake. Elijah was reading his mother's grimoire.
A dead girl laid on the table between them.
Rebekah walked in, looking at her brothers, bewildered. "So, this is what you do the first time we're back together as a family? Vampire book club?"
"Reading edifies the mind, sister," Klaus told her. "Isn't that right, Elijah?"
"Yes, that's quite right, Niklaus," Elijah replied.
"And what's this business?" Rebekah asked, pointing to the dead girl.
"This is . . . a peace offering," Elijah answered.
"I presumed, after so much time desiccating in a coffin, that my big brother might be a bit peckish," Klaus said.
"So, I explained to my little brother that forgiveness cannot be bought," Elijah added. "I'd simply prefer to see a change in behavior that indicates contrition and personal growth. Not this nonsense."
Klaus smirked. "Well, I couldn't very well let her go to waste, could I?"
"Well, I suppose I'll fetch the rubbish bin because she's staining a 200-year-old carpet," Rebekah told them, walking away.
Elijah leaned to the side and saw that the blood was pouring from the girl's neck was spilling onto the floor. "Oh, yes."
Klaus returned to reading his book.
Klaus: (voiceover) "I was angry with my friend."
Klaus glanced at Elijah.
Elijah returned to reading his mother's grimoire.
Klaus: (voiceover) "I told my wrath, my wrath did end."

Marcel was in the Quarter, walking towards The Palace Royale Hotel.
Klaus: (voiceover) "I was angry with my foe. I told it not, my wrath did grow."
Marcel walked inside.

Cami walked towards her twin brother's grave, distressed by what she saw, dropping the flowers in her hand.
Klaus: (voiceover) "And I watered it in fears, night and morning with my tears."
MURDERER was spray painted in red across Sean O'Connell's headstone. A bible scripture was seen underneath.
"The Light shines in the Darkness and the Darkness has not overcome it." - John 1:5.

Father Kieran removed the boards covering the windows of the church, letting light in.
Klaus: (voiceover) "And I sunned it with smiles and with soft deceitful wiles."
Father Kieran waved to some men standing by the doors, letting them inside.

Elijah looked up, seeing Nina and Hayley walk towards the kitchen.
