Three

You looked over the edge, a sense of calm washing over you. Jump! The voice in your head commanded.

You got to your feet and took a few steps hack.

"Y/n?" Ezran said.

"I need to be alone please." You say to him in a calm, gentle tone.

"I- oh... ok." Ezran said walking off.

You took a deep breath and let it out before running and leaping over the cliffs edge. You heard a yelp, likely Ezran, then you heard your name being screamed, but you didn't even care.

You fell through the clouds, your tears drying almost as soon as they came from your eyes.

You could see the ground beneath you now, but it all seems so far away. Suddenly you began to panic. This was a mistake, you weren't ready today

He began to sob. This was it. This is the end. "Ibis, I love you..." you whisper as you fall, the wind stole your words and carried them far far away.

Suddenly, purple, blue, and white blur zoomed past you then you landed on top of it, Zubeia, the dragon queen had just saved your life. You cluster tightly as she took it back to the top of The spire.

She gracefully landed inside the layer's entrance You slid off her back and to the ground.

You were immediately met by too strong arms wrapping around you. "Y/n don't do that! Why would you do that?" Ibis asked, sobbing as he grabbed your face, forcing you to look at him. " why?" he asked, tears falling freely.

You broke down crying. "I-I..." you tried to pull away, but he wouldn't let you go.

"Guys come on, let's give them some space." Ezran said, ushering them outside. Zym and Zubeia fallowed.

"Ibis let go." You begged.

"No, I'm never letting you go again." He said, shaking slightly.

"Ibis, p-please." You whisper.

No, y/n, no. I can't, I won't." He said, holding you, as if he were sheltering you from some great unknown threat that you could not see.

"Ibis please, is my pain not enough? Why must you also kill me slowly? Just let me go, don't tournament emotions I have left into a game!"

" what are you talking about?" he tilted your chin up, looking into your eyes.

You looked away from him

"Y/n please look at me." he whispered.

" just tell me the truth ibis, did you ever even care?!" You hollered, pushing him away.

" of course I care."

" then who is she?"

" what? You're not making any sense." he said taking a step towards you.

You took two steps back. He stepped closer. "Just tell me because you aren't making any sense."

"Earlier, you mentioned someone and-"

"Oh, y/n I didn't realize you had heard that conversation." You continue to stepping further away is he followed.

You are not standing in the corner. " well, I did." You said. " so who is sh-" you guessed as he moved even closer and pressed his lips agents your cheek. He left his lips there for a moment before moving to whisper in your ear.

"I love you, y/n..." He gently whispered.

You went to take another step back, but realized there was nowhere for you to go. "Ibis." You gasp startled be his words and actions.

"Yes?" He asks in a hopeful voice.

Do you notice the others looking into the room, but you don't care you lunge, jumping into his arms. He gasps, then loses his balance falling to the ground. He never got the chance to ask what you were about to do because at that moment, you cupped his face in your hands and pressed your lips onto his.

You heard a muffled yelp of surprise come from ibis' soft lips. His arms wrap tightly around your waist, pulling you closer. You pull your head back to take a breath. "I love you too."

Then the cheats start. "Yes!!" Soren shouts, punching the air in excitement.

Zym covers his eyes and growls in disgust. Bait does the same, turning purple.

"Well done ibis, you faces your fears." Rayla says as Ezran nods in approval.

"Took you two long enough." Zubeia adds, smiling at zym as he makes a disgusted face.

Ibis turned a bright red. "I well- you see I-"

"Ibis quit talking." You say as you kiss him once more. "Though you are pretty cute when you stutter."

"I-I..." ibis put a hand on the back of his neck.

You put an arm around him. "I love you." Your words where just above a whisper, but everyone heard them.

Awwws filled the room as you wrested your head agents his shoulder.
