We arrived at my home. Damien had the face of a stubborn kid. "I'm just going to burn down your house next." He said coldly. I was a bit worried but I just chuckled like an idiot. "I don't believe you'd actually do it....." my voice trailed off as I was now over thinking this.
"Let's just go inside.." I shook my head and let Damien into my home. Which probably wasn't the best idea.
"How about I make you some tea, Damien.?" I suggested. Smiling kindly at the demon boy. Damien rolled his eyes "tea is the sissy shit my father drinks!!" He groaned in annoyance.
"Nonsense, just try it." I smiled at him. I went to the kitchen and poured some water into a kettle.
"What's so good about hot leaf water? I bet it's just mashed up grass." Damien said with clear annoyance. "It's uh. Healthy! Kinda... but also it can taste good. Just try some." I replied, putting the kettle over a burning stove top. "This might take a bit." I said with a bored tone.
Damien sighed in annoyance and took the kettle. "What are you doing..?" I asked and then watched ad Damien set his hands ablaze around the kettle. Quickly the water was heated up and boiling. "Here. I boiled your water." He tried handing me the burning metal.
"I can't grab that- put it on the counter.." I instructed him. "You're lucky I don't pour it all over you." He growled with annoyance. He set the kettle on the counter and seemed pretty bored. "I wanna set something on fireeee..!" Damien complained.
"Uh.. please don't.. how about we go to my room? We can wait for the uh... boiling water to cool so I can make us some tea.." I suggested.
Damien shrugged. "I'll take that as a yes.." I chuckled and let Damien to my room.
I looked around Phillip's room. Everything seemed relaxed and peaceful. He had a neatly arranged room but the first thing that stuck out was the shelf that had stones, feathers, bugs, and bones on it. "What's that??" I look over at pip and pointed at his shelf.
"Oh! I tend to finds lots of things whenever I go explore the forest. I keep em for crafts and such. Well besides the bones. They are just neat findings I keep." Pip gave a dorky smile.
I could feel my face heat up just seeing him happy. "That's uh.." I wanted to insult him.. "cool." But I didn't. "Thank you, Damien!" The blonde British smiled.
"Take a seat anywhere you like." Pip offered. I took a seat on the chair at his desk. "Wow. You seem to have a lot of boring things in this room." I said blankly.
"Oh.. well what would be more exciting?" Pip asked. "Dunno. It just seems boring in here." I shrugged.
"Well I tend to read a lot! I like writing and drawing. Plus my sister doesn't really like me much so I take what I can get." Pip said with a chuckle.. I could hear the sadness behind his voice.
It made me wanna sacrifice the world for him. "Oh." I responded. Not knowing what to say.
Me and Damien talked for a bit. Joking around, and whatnot. When the thought came up in my head. Curiosity took the best of me. "Hey Damien?"
"What?" The dark prince responded. I looked away for a moment, unsure if I should even ask this. "Do you fancy anyone?" I looked at him. With a strange feeling if hope in my chest.
"What does that mean..??" Damien asked. "Like as in a crush or like! Do you have a crush?" I asked, smiling.
"I don't know what that is." Damien raised an eyebrow, giving me a judgemental look. My eyes widened slightly in shock. "You don't know what a crush is?!" I placed my hands in my lap and tilted my head slightly. Confused on how that was possible.
"No? I don't know anything about your stupid mortal world." Damien responded with an eye roll. "Well a crush is when you have feelings for someone. Like interest but in a romantic way. Like you wanna love them!" I responded with a smile.
"Love..?" Damien asked. "My father mentioned the word but never told me what it ment." Damien looked away with a bored expression. "Well love is when you care about someone a lot unconditionally. Whether that's platonicly or romanticly!" I responded. My heart was beating in my chest. Why was I the one to explain this to him...? It felt slightly awkward. But also.. right?
"Oh. That's dumb." Damien responded harshly. His face was red for reasons unknown to me. "So.. do you have a crush on anyone..?" I smiled. Why was this such a big deal to me...?
"No. I don't." Damien responded. I felt disappointed. I don't know why though. "What about you?" Damien responded. Oh dear.. my mind started racing.
Pip was acting weird. I felt very weird too. My heart was beating fast and I felt as if I just wanted to spit the whole truth out know that I know what father and phillip told me I was feeling. "Oh! I uh... I do have my eye on someone." Pip smiled. My heart dropped. "Who are they..?" I asked. Still a sliver of hope in my heart. I didn't know why though..
"I'd like to keep that private.. sorry Damien." Pip said nervously. Great.
He was gonna keep my wondering.
Why do I even care..?
Why do I wish he said it was me..?
What's wrong with me..?
"Damien? You seem unresponsive." I shook my head and looked at Phillip. "Oh! Sorry. Uh. Alright." I said.
It was silent for a moment.
"I nearly forgot! Let me go make us some tea. That tea kettle must be cooler now." Pip smiled and stood up. He wobbled for a moment. "My.. I stood up to fast!" He chuckled and placed his hand on his forehead. I chuckled with him.
