"Wait up," I heard a voice call from behind me. Turning around, I see the boy I've been trying to avoid for two months, so I walk even faster.
"I said wait," he shouted again, causing me to walk even faster, but since luck wasn't on my side, he eventually caught up to me and grabbed my arms.
"Let go of me," I struggled against him, his fingernails dug into the flesh of my arm.
"I just want to talk," his voice came out harsh, and a fake smile was set on his face.
"I told you to leave me alone," I was still trying to pry my arm from his grip.
"Can you just stop that," If possible, his grip on my arm curled tighter around my arm.
"You're hurting me," I could feel the grimace on my face.
"Then maybe just cooperate with me," he glared at me but still kept his tight grip.
"What do you want to talk about?" I tried to hold in whimpers as he squeezed.
"I want you back," I would've interrupted him right there, but I wanted to keep my arm, "I know you're just dating Leo to get back at me, Emma told me. She was a mistake, Alyiah. I should've never slept with her, so to save yourself from having to continue fake dating, Leo, we can get back together. I promise I'll treat you right, even better than before."
I've never wanted to laugh so bad in my life.
"Firstly, Leo and I are together. Not in some fake dating way, that relationship is real, and even if I was in a fake relationship, there's no way in hell I would go back to you. It's been three months. Please move on," I regretted those words because that's when his nails broke my flesh, and blood started to drip.
"Butterfly!" Brendon's hand fell from my arm, and my hand immediately covered the wound.
"Want to go get some ice cream, there's this -" his words were cut short when he saw Brendon standing in front of me.
"What's he doing here?"
"Nothing," Brendon said too quickly, then ran off outside.
"That was weird," he turned to me with a smile on his face, but it dropped as soon as he saw the blood on my hand. "What the fuck is that?"
He hardly every curses.
"Brendon got too handsy," my arm felt as if it was throbbing.
Leo only nodded his head before he stalked towards the school door and I quickly scurried behind him. As he opened the door, his eyes looked for his target, and as soon as he located it, his bag was discarded on the ground, and a right hook was being sent to Brendon's face. I watched from the school steps, in astonishment while silently cheering him on, as he gave him another hit to his face and then another, another and another, the few students that were in the parking lot ran over to see including the basketball team.
"Damn," I whistled as they tried to pry him off Brendon. As they got him up I could see he was breathing heavily and he held up his hands in surrender showing he wasn't going to hit him again, and that's when he gave the defeated boy a kick to his stomach.
His eyes found mine, and I gave him a small thumbs up, causing him to grin. I picked up his bag and made my way to his car. I've never had anyone fight for me before, so to say that was a tremendous turn-on was an understatement.
"I'm sorry about that, I got -" I cut him off with a kiss. His hands wrapped around my waist, and hair caused me to moan in his mouth, I wanted to kiss him longer, but the pounding in my arm came back.
"You looked hot," I muttered against his lips, and he smiled in response and pecked my lips.
"Let's go fix that up," he motioned to my arm.
He unlocked the car door, and I climbed in, putting both our bags on the back seat. As he started the car, I gripped onto his bruised hand and held it in my lap while I slowly dozed off. I was completely drained from taking exams and doing graduation practices, and then Brendon just came and made it worse. So, with the soft track playing in the back and Leo's hand caressing the back of my hand, I dozed off.

The pain of alcohol being applied to the wound was what woke me up. Opening my eyes, I could make out my teddy bears that sat on my bed. Looking back to the injured arm, I could see Leo's hand softly wiping away the dried blood from my skin. Although he was being as gentle as possible, I couldn't hold back the hiss when he applied way too much hydroperoxide.
"Sorry," he looked from my arm and gave me a quick kiss on my cheek.
"It's okay," my voice was a bit hoarse.
"You shouldn't have been in that position," his voice held anger and a bit of sadness.
"You couldn't have done anything," I mumbled, still trying to get out out of my sleepy state.
"It's a Wednesday, I always pick you up on Wednesdays, but today I wanted to surprise you with some candy because you've been craving for it, but they didn't have any. So the point I'm coming to is that if I just did what I usually did, Brendon wouldn't have even looked in your direction," he finished out of breath.
"Everything happens for a reason," I groaned as I sat up. "I'm kinda glad this happened."
"Why?" his voice was soft as he focused on wrapping the bandage around my arm.
"This gave me complete closure or more like confirmed my closure," As he finished wrapping my arm, he gave a quick peck to my arm.
"I pretty sure you could've found it someplace else," he crawled up onto the bed, in between my legs, and rested his head on my stomach.
"Yeah, but I still got it," I massaged his hair as I spoke.
"I don't like it," he voice was muffled by the shirt I wore.
"What are you doing after graduation, I've-"
"We're not breaking up," his head flew up from my stomach, and he stared me in my eyes.
"Don't worry, I was just saying I got accepted to Berkeley."
"That's great," a grin slipped on his face. He placed a quick kiss to my lips before shoving his head between my breasts.
"Yeah."
"Why do you sound so sad? You've been praying you would get into Berkeley,"
"Well I'm just realizing that I'll be forty hours away from my mother, I've never been that far from her," his hands rubbed small circles on my waist as I talked, "and then I won't have anyone to talk to and I'll be lonely."
"Then make new friends," he suggested.
"I don't want to." I whined.
"Good thing you won't be alone then."
"What are you talking about?"
"You're so slow," he chuckled, causing my face to twist with confusion. "I'm going to Berkeley."
"Really?" I shrieked, pushing his face out of my chest.
"Yeah, I couldn't leave my favorite girl."
"Now I'm excited," I smiled at him.
He brushed a strand of hair away from my face, studying me as he did so. His eyes flickered from eyes down to my lips and back up to my eyes.
"You're really pretty," he mumbled.
"You are too."
"I want to kiss you," his came even closer.
"Then do it."
His kiss came forceful, pushing me down on the bed he hovered over me as he devoured me. My legs wrapped around his waist ,trying to pull him impossibly closer a sudden thought ran through my mind.
I love him
I love him
"I love you," the words slipped out of my mouth as soon as his lips broke away from mine.
