Chapter 6

Mike and Jake photo    WOW.

The bike ride went well.We went out in the field to one of my favorite spots.It was peaceful and I enjoyed it.Mike didn't say anything that would scar me for life but was very quiet.

We decided to relax a little bit in the field.After we sat down I tried to start a conversation.

"Let's play twenty questions. "I suggested.

"Uhn...no"he said immediately.

"Why not?"I asked.

"Oh I don't know...you will find out all my secrets for instance "he said but I wasn't going to take no for an answer.I saw him looking at my baby pictures in the hallway and I'm pretty sure he now has something to hold against me at scool,now I need something embarrassing to stop him.It is how human life works,deal with it people.

"Please please please please please!!!!!!!!!"I begged him.

"OK fine,but I know what you are doing. You're trying to get something embarrassing of me to hold against me at scool"he said reading my mind exactly.Wow.

"Psh...no!As if!"i said very weakly not convinsing him.His eyebrows shot up but he dropped the case  

"OK you go first...and there are no passes.Capeche?"he said using some weird word I absolutely do not understand.What is it with this boy?

"Caplfr...whatever you said." I tried to mimic the word but failed horribly.

"Ok..."I said trying to think of a question. I forgot I am very bad at this game.I have so many questions but when I come to asking them I forget."How old are you?"i asked a very stupid question.

He raises his eyebrow at me questioning if I'm still sane.

"I forgot I suck at this ga...OH WAIT, I got one!"I yelled exited that I finally don't suck at a game.

"Oh God!Here we go."Mike moans.

"Ok,why did Lucy say you stole Jake away from her?"I asked from what I heard earlier.

"Uhm...PASS!"he yells obviously surprised at my question.What is that ass hiding?Well I'm gonna find out.I hope he doesn't go on like this the whole game otherwise it would be awkward.

"Hey!You were the one who said no passes.Now spil!"I threaten him.

"Ok,but it a long story. "He tells me trying to make me regret my question."And it's getting really late.Why don't we go home and I'll tell you tomorrow."he said while standing up."Or never."he quietly says to himself as he does so.

This is obviously very private and I don't know him for so long.Mybe I shouldn't push it that far.Maybe he just needs some space.

Oh,come on!This is Mike were talking about!How the hell can he need 'space'.What happened to you Kasey?I mean you were all tough but now you didn't kick their asses once this whole time you have been here.Get your mojo back.Show some backbone!Make them cry!This is your chance to get back at them for how many years of bullying. Don't you want that?KASEY.KASEY!

"Kasey?Are you alright?"He said worried.

"You've been staring at that rock there for quite a long time.Is it made of gold or am I losing my mind?"He asked trying to figure out what is so fascinating about the big rock next to us.Huh, didn't even notice it was there.

"Oh,yeah!No I'm fine don't worry!Just staring off in the distance. Not creepy at all!"I said dryly. "By the way..."I started and he stared at me blankly."You don't have to tell me if you don't want to.It's fine."I tell him reassuringly and some relief washes over him.Probably because I didn't start throwing questions like an investigator on red bull.

Oh,give me strength! You seriously went all mushy love sick puppy on him.Don't go soft!Don't fall for his charm!He's trying to lour you in and break your heart!

"OH SHUT UP!"I yell.

"What?"Mike asked confused halfway to his bike.

Shit.

Shit.

"Nothing!"I say to cover up my mistake but the damage has been done.

The bike ride home had a very awkward vibe.We never talked.Never looked at each other.We didnt even ride two metres closer.

When we put our bikes back in the garage he finally spoke."I still don't understand how you're so cool with this.I mean I blew you of with that question and you just understood my problem.You're a lot different than I expected."

"Don't worry.It won't last for long."I said back evilly.

That's my girl!

It looked like he wanted to say something but thought better of it.as we walked into the house. Everyone was laughing and joking around and I now noticed how serious and tense me and Mike were.

Once we stepped inside everyone's heads turned in our direction.

Jake looked jealous, mom looked pleased,Lucy looked confused and Jake's mom looked interested.

Our dad's were probably somewhere else.

"Where we're you guys?"Jake asked with venom in his voice.

"Oh Jake! Stop going all Daddy on them!"His mom told him.

"Their allowed to have a little fun!"She said wriggling her eyebrows.

"Mom!"Jake yelled at her embarrassed.

"Well I'm gonna go..."I said walking up the stairs.

It was a stressful day and I just need a long shower,a cuddle session with Sasha and a looooong marathon of Pretty little liars.Love that show.

And I did do it.
