Ill Save You All

chapter 44

" Brennen , Aaron, and....." he paused before he could finish his sentence. " who Jake. " I growl. " Corey.." I blink a few times. Corey? why would he betray us like that. " well looks like were gonna go pay a little visit. " I say grabbing my gun. " darling wait." Colby said grabbing my shoulder. " what about the literal human you are growing inside you. you cant just go in gun ho anymore. " he sighed. he was right. " I have some vests I can wear. ill go grab it while you finish cleaning Jake up." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek. 

I went down into the basement to look for the vests. the walls lined with all our heavy duty weapons incase someone where to ever try and destroy our building. I looked in a few bins and could find anything until I checked the back. 

bins and bins of protection. i grabbed 2. one for me and one for Colby because i am NOT loosing the father of my child. why don't we protect ourselves more often? well because half the time i don't even know that its gonna turn into a full on slaughter.

we are gonna need these more often so i actually just put the 2 on top of the bin and bring the whole thing upstairs. once I got into my office Jake was all cleaned and patched up. Colby had is shirt unbuttoned to the top. he was sweating just a tad. he looked absolutely scrumptious. I lick and bit the bottom of my lip and shake my head before a round 2 happens. i swear my emotions and hormones are going through the roof. first i wanna rip someone's head off and now i want Colby to take me and bend me over my desk for a second time. 

Colby caught me staring and just let out a slight chuckle. he came up to me and leaned into my ear. " focus darling" i chuckled slapping his chest slightly. I grabbed one of the vests and threw it to him. |" if i got to wear one so do you." i smiled slightly . with no hesitation or saying anything he pulled off his shirt , and he put it on. 

" uh ill go put mine on in the bathroom. " i said grabbing mine , a baggy T shirt that i had in my drawer, and shut the door. I pulled off my shirt and just took a moment looking at my body. i rubbed my hand over my belly and smiled. " ill protect you always." I whispered. I put the vest on . it was a little snug but it wasn't terrible. I put on the shirt,  put my hair up into a messy bun and left. 

" we ready?" i said over to Colby. " your staying here Jake, recover." i tried to say but he shook his head. " Roxy i just got my ass beat, shot by a so called friend. I'm going with you." he growled as he grabbed his gun. 

Corey said he wanted nothing to do with the crime world anymore. he packed up his stuff that night,  he had faked his death and disappeared from us. turns out that he did this and joined a new gang? i honestly, am not surprised nor hurt . I just wanna know why? why did he do this?  the amount of times I've been betrayed is insane.  i only trust, Jake, Sam and Colby. i will never let myself get close with anyone ever again. 

we had made our way out of the building and started to drive. it was gonna be about an hour drive . " can we stop at a gas station to grab some food, I'm starving." Jake said. we all haven't eaten anything and I'm feeding for 2 so I did one better. " yea sure." I agree but I'm actually gonna take us to McDonalds. 

I drive for 15 minutes until i finally find one and pull in. " McDonalds?" Jake said with a literal tear in his eye. " yes get whatever you want. its on me." i said pulling a stack of cash out. " omg thank you , your the best." he said jumping out the car. I undid my seat belt . Colby undid his and got out of the car so fast. " what are you.." I said but before i could finish my sentence he was on my side opening the door. " my lady" he said grabbing my hand. I giggled. " oh why thank you " i said kissing his cheek. he flushed pink a little bit. it was adorable. 

we made our way into McDonalds and the boys ordered like 3 burgers each fries and drinks. me  , I ordered a big mac, no pickles extra mac sauce, a large fry and a sprite. I ordered an extra cheeseburger incase i was still hungry after. " that will be...$80 pretty thang" he said smirking at me. i gave him an $100 bill " keep the change " I smiled . " thank you " he said winking at me.

I felt Colby grab my waist and grip me hard. " ready to go sit darling" he said in my ear gently biting on my earlobe. I saw the guy shift, and clear his throat. " sorry didn't know she was taken . my apologies. " " well yea she is" he growled at him putting his hand on my belly. " and pregnant" he said with a smirk.  I couldn't help but giggle and he looked at me. now he knows how i felt all the times the waiters hit on him. 

" have a goodnight... nick" I said looking at his name tag and went to go sit down with Colby and Jake. " jealous much." I said teasing him. " no what are you talking about. " he said looking away from me . " oh yea totally not jealous" I said smacking his arm lightly. " I'm not jealous." he growled and snapped at me. oh really? " alrighty." I said getting up to prove a point. I walked back to the counter. " oh your back hi again , your food is almost done. " he smiled at me. " oh thank you , actually came to apologize for how he's acting. " I said.

" its totally fine. but i mean i couldn't help it , you are absolutely stunning. you've got like , a glow. when the light hits your face you just shine. your smile is contagious. big and bright." he said rambling. I giggled . we sat there and talked for like 2 minutes . I turned my head back and Colby was slouched back, arms folded and he was literally red. he was pissed. but he needs to admit , he's jealous. nick left to go grab our food and put it on trays. " here ill help you bring those to the table." he smiled at me grabbing 2 trays while i just grabbed the one.

when we got to the table we put the trays down. " had a fun time chatting with you. " he said putting his hands through his hair. " so did I , thank you so much" i smiled as he walked away. I turned because I heard him scoff under his breathe. " still not jealous." i smirked. " ok FINE. I'm jealous ok. your mine " he said getting up and picking me up off the chair. he wrapped my legs around him and kissed me. 

we sat down , enjoying our food, we talked , laughed and honestly was really peaceful. we knew that chaos and destruction was awaiting us.
