Deal or no deal

The traffic was busy on the freeway Tuesday morning. Roseanne wanted Lisa to meet her at Hank's office so that she could begin the investigation. Overnight, the skies had cleared, however the noncommittal meteorologist was saying, " Today will be sunny, and cloudy, with a chance of rain." Everyone who lives in Seattle knows that everyday is a chance at rain. Lisa realized that she was frustrated with the weatherman and traffic because she was nervous about seeing Roseanne after all these years.

She pulled up to the office building at West Commodore Way, the address Roseanne wanted to meet. She parked in the lot instead of the parking garage because she was curious about the grounds. Lisa was wondering whether or not it would be easy to slip inside of the building unnoticed or would it draw attention. A plump gentleman looking to be in his sixties with a cap of gray hair and bright blue eyes stepped out of the office doors. " May I help you Madam?" Before she could say anything in response, Roseanne Park was rounding the corner and walking up towards them.

While Lisa waited for Roseanne to reach her, she studied her old friend. Lisa was surprised by how casual Roseanne was dressed. She was wearing denim jeans and white button up with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows. Her hair was twisted up into a bun with tendrils sweeping down framing her face. Her once plump chipmunk cheeks were now gone, she also noticed frown lines on both sides of her mouth. Lisa on the other hand felt over dressed in her three piece pin stripe navy blue suit and yellow thin pin stripe button down shirt. She even wore a yellow tie with polka dots and some cufflinks. She keeps forgetting that Rosie was never fashion forward as she was in school. Lisa was known as the hipster amongst their friends because she always followed the latest trends.

Lisa had to gently remind herself that if she wants to do a great job on this assignment, she must separate the present murder suspect Roseanne from her college friend. Roseanne was the first to speak. " Lisa, I was afraid you'd change your mind. I was so surprised to see you at the courthouse yesterday and even more impressed when I saw you last night on the evening news. That's when I got this crazy idea that you might be able to help me, that is if you're willing." " Why would I have changed my mind?" " Not many people around here are proven to be open minded. I'm just glad my fears were unwarranted. Let's get started. Follow me."

Jisoo Kim returned back to her office in order to begin another work day. She was carrying Jennie's favorite coffee order along with her electric blanket. Jisoo suffered through the freezing cold, having sacrificed her own blanket for Jennie, so she decided to make sure that Jennie had her blanket today. By the time Jisoo was walking towards Jennie's office she entered the building. " Why are you going into my office when I'm not there?" " You didn't have your blanket yesterday and I was freezing so I brought it for you today. I was just going to leave it and your coffee on your desk. Why are you so jumpy? You usually don't mind me going inside your office." " I'm sorry Jisoo. I apologize for snapping. I had a run in with Kai and he's being extra insufferable. I also have something important I need to discuss with you."

Jisoo sighed. She hated Jennie's husband and had no idea how Jennie ended up dating let alone married to someone like Kai. She sat in her chair and stared attentively at Jennie. " I didn't know how to tell you this but I've been investigating Dr. Hank Park's murder." " Roseanne's husband?" " Yes. I'm sorry for not telling you but I know that you ended your relationship because of me. I just didn't want you to go through it all again." " Jennie your my little sister. I never would choose anyone over you. You needed me at the time and that wasn't your fault. Roseanne and I just had bad timing. That's in the past now. She's been trying to contact me but I haven't gotten in touch with her yet. Have you gathered any new information?"

" I did find a lead I believe. I was at the hospital and I overheard a few nurses talking and one of them said that Hank was having an affair and he may have gotten a young nurse pregnant. Do you think Roseanne found out and that's why she murdered him?" " If not and this rumor turns out to be true, she will be devastated. Let me speak to her."
