Jisoo wrapped her arms around Rosie's waist. The poor woman looked as if she was in pure shock, understandably. Her complexion was pale, as if all of her blood had just been drained from her body. There just wasn't anyway possible that she'd be capable of committing two murders. " Have you called Hyeri yet?" " Not yet. Gosh, you told me not to go and see her." " Let's get you inside. I'll call Hyeri right away."
She paused, then Rosie hesitantly asked, " Do you think that I killed Annamarie?" " No Rosie. I know you didn't. Besides not having a speck of blood on you, your too faint hearted for murder. Now sit tight, and listen up. Don't answer your phone, or open up your door for anyone. Promise me you won't talk to anyone until you've spoken to Hyeri Lee." " I won't, I promise." " Okay great. As much as I know you want a good soak in the tub right now, you have to hold off. We don't want the police to think you're trying to get rid of any evidence."
" I can't go through this again Chu. I'd rather take my own life than have people harassing my parents, or the news reporters camping out at my house again." " Don't even go there Rosie! You're way more stronger than you think. Look at how far you've come from that university student who used to follow me around like a lost puppy." " Hey! I don't remember that ever happening. I just remember you always calling me to hangout with you. You even stalked my live chats leaving comments." " Someone had to look out for you besides Lisa. She had just gotten here not that long before you. At least I knew the area and gave you useful information." " Yes. You both were a great help in your own ways." " Hyeri should be here shortly. Hopefully she arrives before the police, but if she doesn't, remember your promise and don't talk to anyone. You have a right to remain silent so utilize that right to your advantage."
Jisoo knew that as soon as the news got out that Rosie met up with Annamarie, who's now deceased, the reporters would be swarming like a school of fish. Twenty five minutes after Jisoo made the call to Hyeri she was knocking on her door. " I'll get it." Jisoo said anxiously. She really was grateful that Hyeri came as soon as she could, but the expression on her face, let Jisoo know that Hyeri still thought Rosie was guilty. Hyeri didn't mince words as she was strictly business oriented, " I appreciate that you called me and told Roseanne not to talk to anyone until I got here. Nevertheless Jisoo, you are still a detective and obligated under law enforcement. Therefore I'm advising my client that your the last person whom she should be confiding in. I'm not letting you question her any further, detective."
Hyeri may believe that Roseanne murdered both Hank and Annamarie, but she certainly was an excellent attorney, Jisoo thought. She'd definitely exorcise a few demons for her client and that's exactly what Rose needed right now. It was a comforting thought. " You know that my conversations with Roseanne are not privileged like your's are. I know you still believe that she's capable of murder. I admit I did have some questions I'd like to ask her. But what she needs most right now, is at least one person, who just so happens to be a detective, on her side. Can you imagine what it's like to be going through everything that she has and not a single person believing in you? That must be terrifying for her."
" As someone who likes Roseanne very much, and just wants to help her get to the truth, however painful it may be. I do suggest that you develop an open mind quickly Hyeri, for your client/best friend's sake. Otherwise we'll be searching for a new attorney." She turned her back on Hyeri and walked towards the kitchen. Jisoo was surprised that she didn't hear Hyeri footsteps following behind her, but when she turned around she was right there.
" Look Jisoo," Hyeri sighed. " Obviously when I talk to Roseanne you can't be in the same room, but it would be helpful if you would fill me in on whatever you find that could be beneficial to her case." The antagonizing look was no longer on Hyeri's face. That's when it came to Jisoo causing her to gasp out loud. The protectiveness she's shown towards Rose, of course, how could I have missed it. She means alot more to Hyeri than just her client. Hyeri must be in love with Rosie. Now I just need to find out if Rose felt the same. " Jisoo thought. "Actually I'd like to go over a few things with you." She responded out loud.
