Two more weeks

"I'm going back to my room Mom let me know if you need anything."
"Okay."
"Hey,"
"Hey, did you ever eat?"
"I did I ate before I saw my mom."
"Ohh, okay I wanted to make sure you ate."
"No, one has ever cared about me as much as you."
"I'll always care for you."
"I love you."
"And I love you."
"But now that you say that I still feel bad about what I did to you."
Alexis starts to cry
"Hey hey come here."
"I know we talked about this a thousand times but it's one of my biggest regrets is hurting you and I never want to do that again."
"Hey, nothing me or you have done will ever change the way I feel about you."
"Really?"
"Of course."
"Okay, sorry I started talking about this again."
Daniel wipes off her tears and kisses her forehead.
"Don't cry okay I don't like seeing you sad."
"Sorry, I know it's embarrassing."
"Don't be sorry okay it's okay I love you so much."
"I love you."
"Hey, is it okay if we skip the movie?"
"Sure, that's okay let me go to the bathroom and we could just lay here if you want?"
"Yeah, go ahead it's just right there."
"Do you want the door closed?"
"Please."
Daniel washes his hands and then gets a phone call from Josh.
"Hey, man what's up?"
"You coming to the party?"
"No, I'm staying in tonight."
"How come?"
"I'm with Alex."
"Oh, okay you guys have fun."
"Thanks, Josh call me if need a ride."
"It's cool I have my car I gotta go."
"Okay, have fun at the party."
"Bye."
Daniel sees Alex asleep and crouches next to her
"Ohh, hey Dan."
"Hey, sorry to wake you."
"It's okay what time is it?"
"Like seven pm."
"Okay."
A couple hours later Daniel packed his stuff so he could go home in the morning."
"Hey, are you leaving?"
"No, I was just packing my stuff for when I leave."
"Ohh okay go ahead."
Daniel gets a phone call from Hunter
"Hey, what's going on?"
"Where are you?"
"I'm at Alex's place."
"Are Mom and Dad asking me where I am?"
"No, they don't know you're over there Dan come home okay."
"I'll come in the morning cover for me please."
"Alright, you're lucky I love you man don't get caught."
"I won't thanks Hunter"
"Of course just get home as soon as you can."
"Okay, I will bye."
Five hours later
"Hey, Alex my brother found out about me sneaking out I have to go okay."
"Okay, I'll talk to you later I love you."
"Love you too."
Daniel kisses her forehead and leaves
"See you later A."
"Bye."
A couple hours later Daniel gets up and does his morning workout.
"Hey Dan, did you get enough sleep?"
"I did I gave myself another hour."
"That's good."
"I'm heading to the gym wanna come?"
"No, I'm okay I'll go later."
"Okay, I'll be out."
Daniel goes to take a quick run before he heads to the gym until he gets a call from Danielle.
"Um, Dani what do you want?"
"I want, to get back together I'm sure if we talk we'll work things out and we can be a couple again."
"What? no, I have a girlfriend we've been through this Dani I broke up with you because you cheated on me I've been happier than I've ever been because of her I never loved you I honestly was relieved when we broke up because I always felt like an object to you."
"You're kidding me right you think your little summer fling is going to work out?"
"Yes, I do goodbye Dani have a nice life."
"Wait Daniel."
Daniel blocks Danielle's number and heads back home to shower.
Alexis leaves a voicemail for Daniel.
"Hey Dan, I don't know if you're still working out if you've not met me at Joe's I want to buy you breakfast."
He texts her
"Hey, I'm on my way."
Daniel gets ready after his shower."
"Hey, Hunter have you had breakfast?"
"I did we're you going out?"
"Yeah, Alexis just texted me to get food."
"Do you want anything?"
"No thanks go have fun."
"Okay, tell Mom and Dad I'm out with Alex."
"I will."
Meanwhile at Joe's Zach walks in
"Alexis?"
"Hey, Zach who are you?"
"I'm good I've been around I haven't seen you're boyfriend in a bit how is Daniel."
"He's good we're just hanging out a bunch because I'm leaving in a couple of weeks."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah, but I'm glad you're doing okay."
"Yeah, you too."
Daniel walks in
"Hey guys what's going on?"
"Oh hey man."
"Hey, Zach what's up sorry I've been Mia."
"It's all good I get you're in a relationship."
"We were just talking."
"It's fine Alex we talked remember?"
"I'm gonna go I'll see you guys later."
"See you, man."
"I had no idea Zach was here."
"You guys should talk."
"We did."
"Then why is it so awkward?"
"I don't know I just thought he wasn't speaking to me because  of everything that's happened between you guys."
"I hope not I don't want to be the cause of you guys not being friends."
"Hey, whatever happens, it's not you're fault okay?"
"Okay."
"What would you guys like?"
"Two chocolate croissants and two cookies and creme cake pops please?"
"Okay, that will be $25.50."
"Here."
"Thank you have a good day."
"You too."
"Hey, we should do something this weekend?"
"What do you have in mind?"
"Hey, my parents have our family cabin why don't we go there for a couple of days."
"Just the two of us?"
"Of course, I'll set everything up this afternoon."
"And I finished my shift and I made a bunch of money since the start of the summer."
"Wow, that's good how much?"
"800 dollars."
"You made that much in one summer."
"I did."
"You worked where again?"
"Ohh wait I remember it was your grandpa's friend's place right?"
"Yeah, it was Craig's Pizza."
"Right, I went there all the time for football."
"Sorry, I forgot."
"It's okay."
"Pastries for Daniel."
"Thank you so much."
"Let's go."
"So about the cabin you want to come?"
"Yes but first I need to ask my mom 'cause I'm not sure she let me be alone with you."
"I'm with you all the time."
"No, I mean like alone as in."
"Oh yeah yeah, I get it."
"What about your parents?"
"I would have to ask them to because my dad has access to it."
"Okay then I'll go."
"You will?"
"Yes."
"Not to rush anything but let's go ask our parents now."
"What's the rush you really want to be alone with me do you?"
"What no."
"What it is that you either want to sleep with me or you want to?"
"Before you finish that sentence I don't but only if you want to."
"So you do want to sleep with me?"
"No, I."
"Hey, it's okay I'm just messing with you."
"Now I'm embarrassed."
"Don't be I know you want to do something nice for me before I leave."
"Of course I'm going to miss you so much."
"Me too I promise we'll talk everyday okay?"
"I will too."
"Let's go we've been here too long."
