Taking Off

"Hey Alexis are you all packed?"
"Yeah, I am what time is our flight?"
"It's at 9 we'll be home early."
The doorbell rings
"Hey, I'm so glad you're here."
"Hi Daniel how are you?"
"I'm good I came to say goodbye."
"So happy to have met you, Jane."
"Thank you tell your mom I will be happy to make her cake soon if she would like."
"I will thank you."
"Where are grandma and grandpa?"
"They're asleep I told them we were leaving and'll call them later."
"Okay."
"Can you give us a second mom?"
"Yeah, sure."
"Let me help you with this."

Daniel puts all the luggage in the Uber.
"I'm going to miss you so much."
"I'm going  to miss you too."
"Call me when you land okay."

Daniel kisses her and heads to the beach.
"I miss you already."

"You ready Alexis?"
"Yes, I just said goodbye to my boyfriend."
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I think I'll be fine."
"Where to ladies?"
"LAX airport please?"

Meanwhile at the beach.
"Hey man Alexis left today right how are you?"
"Yeah, she did I've been pretty bummed."
"I have an idea why don't I drive you to Chicago so can spend time with her when does she go back to school?"
"The fifth are you sure thank you, man."
"Of course how are we going to pull this off?"
"I'll tell my parents I'm going to visit my brother I'll let him know beforehand so that he's in on everything and we'll go from there."
An hour later.
"Hey, Mom I'm going to visit Hunter for a couple of days before he starts school."
"Okay, sweetheart tell him I say hi."
Daniel packs and makes sure he has his bag ready for a week.
"Bye, Mom tell Dad I'll be back."
"I will be safe sweetie I love you."

"Daniel starts calling Hunter."
"Hunter listen to me."
"Hey, what's going on?"
"I need you to make sure that mom thinks I'm with you I'm going to surprise Alexis in Chicago can you please do this for me?"
"Of course, I'll try my best good luck."
"Thanks."
"Hey Josh the plan is secured."
"Great I put some gas and got food we're ready to go."
"Okay on my way."
"Thanks, man for doing this it means a lot."
"Of course don't mention it got you a burger."
"Thanks, I was starving."
"We got 29 hours ahead of us let's go."
Meanwhile on the plane
"Did you enjoy your summer?"
"I did I'm so happy Mom I don't think I've been this happy in so long."
"That's good sweetie I can tell he makes you happy just by the way he looks at you."
"Really?"
"Yes, he's wonderful."
"I'm just really sad that I won't see him for a while promise until my prom or graduation but I'll worry about that until the time comes."
"I'm sure if you guys talk and make sure you guys are on the same page I think you guys will make it work."
"I think so too thanks, Mom."
"Would you guys like anything to drink?"
"Some apple juice is fine please?"
"A coke for me thank you."
"Here you go."

"To eat we have ceaser salad or burritos with meat and cheese."
"Two burritos please."
"Thank you have a nice flight."

Attention flyers we will be landing in an hour make sure all devices are turned off when we land thank you so much have a safe flight.
"So did you get Alexis anything before you packed yeah I got her flowers and her favorite candy I got a flower pot too so that they don't die."
"That's good you can put it right there It won't fall off."
"Thanks."
On the plane
"Attention fliers we are about to land."
"Finally I'm so tired."
"Let's go home."
Alexis and her mom finally get in the car and go back home."
"Are you working the shop today?"
"No, I want to rest for at least a day and then I'll open back up."
"Okay, I think I'm going to go see Ciara."
"Okay let me know when you get back so I can make dinner."
"Okay bye, Mom."
She puts her suitcase in her room.
Alexis calls Ciara
Daniel and Josh stop for gas.
"Hey, Josh."
"Ciara hey I miss you."
"Miss you too do you know if Alexis came home
wait she's calling me."
"Keep her out all day we are halfway there get there for another couple hours."
"Yeah, I'm on it."
"I'll call when we're here."
"Okay bye."
"Hey welcome back."
"Hey do want to go the mall?"
"Yeah sure I'll get my purse and I'll pick
you up."
"Okay, I'll be here."
Alexis then unpacks her suitcase and gets ready.
Ciara then arrives at her house.
"Welcome home."
"I missed you do want to get lunch?"
"I missed you too yeah let's get lunch?"
"How was saying goodbye to Daniel?"
"Really sad we're going to make it work but I've never felt this way about anyone not even Jonah I felt like I was in love with him."
"Whatever happens I'm sure Dan will be there for you I know he loves you and remember he's not Jonah and he'll never cheat on you."
"I know I just really want us to work and everything."
"Enough about me are you and Josh going to be together?"
"I want to but he hasn't asked me out yet we've been talking for a while now but I'm afraid to make the first move."
"I think you should put yourself out there if he doesn't like you for you screw him."

They then arrive at the mall.
Josh calls her again.
"Hey we're almost there Daniel's passed out how are you guys doing?"
"We're about to eat right now but do you want to go out if you have time to..."
"Of course, I'll go out with you I've been wanting to ever since I met you."
"Really?"
"Yes let's go out when I get there okay?"
"Okay."
"I'll call you later then okay?"
"I'd love that."

"Hey, I got you food and went to three stores."
"How long was I on the phone?"
"Thanks for the food."

"We're going out the next time I see him."

"Let's go to Pacsun I heard there's a sale."

"Wait Ciara give us a second."
"Fine, I'll be at the Frozen Yogurt shop."
"Get me some vanilla with Oreos please thank you."

"I've been thinking about us the whole summer and I know what I did was not okay and I regret it and I want us to get back together I love you."
"Let me stop you there I forgive you, Jonah I don't need the excuses I met someone this summer and I'm really happy I don't need the pity apology."

Ciara dumps a drink on him.
"Fuck you never talk to me ever again."
"And for the record, I didn't sleep with him not that's any of your business anymore don't ever talk to me like that again."

"Let's go home I got you something."

Alexis' mom calls her.
"Hey mom what's up."
"I'm going to clean up the shop I'll be gone for a couple hours."
"Okay mom I'm about to go home anyways I'll get dinner started for you."

"What did your mom say she's at the shop."
Josh calls
Josh and Daniel arrive at Alexis' house
"Hey dude we're here."
"Have I been asleep this whole time."
"Yeah your flowers are still fresh."

Daniel sets the flowers down and lays in Alexis' bed.
Josh goes to hide in his car and calls Ciara.
"Hey we're here for where are you guys?"
"We're have way there we were dealing with something how's Daniel."
"Completely passed out."

Ciara goes to meet Josh.
Alexis heads inside to sleep

"I wanted to see you I brought you these."

"It was good until I saw my ex."

"He wanted to apologize for what happened then he got mad that I met you and he called me a desperate whore."

She starts kissing him

"Honestly feeling a burger there's an In and Out near my mom's shop we can go there."
"Oh yeah your mom works in a jewelry shop right?"
"Yeah she does she's had it since I was born I help out everyday after school."

"Is the In and Out across the street?"
"Yeah not too far from here?"
"So how did you pull this off coming to see me?"
"Very funny story actually so Josh saw that I was so sad that you left so he said let me drive you over there I was like you sure, he was like yeah I don't mind so we left came here and I passed out in your room."

Then they see Ciara & Josh sitting.

"Hey, I knew I would see you guys."

"I'm good thank you for getting my boyfriend here."

Alexis dumps a milkshake on her."

"What I miss I got your food to go."
"Can we leave I don't want to be here anymore."

Ciara and Josh head back to her house
"So what happened?"
"I saw Lexi she's the girl my ex cheated on me with I saw her she's was being rude so I dumped the milkshake on her."
"Sorry, she put you through that you never deserved to get cheated on."
"Thank you that means a lot you didn't deserve that either."
"Hey, who's that guy with your mom?"

Alexis sees her mom with Jonah's dad.
"Oh my god that's Darren Jonah's dad."
"So do you want to go out sometime?"
"I don't know Darren your son hurt my daughter."
"Real classy mom."
"Alexis."
"Are you guys dating really mom?"
"We're not he just asked me out."
"Well I hope you say no."
"I'm going home."
"Alexis please can we talk."
"No, I'm not in the mood."
Alexis heads back to her house.
"Hey, I'm sorry that today was horrible is there anything I can do?"
"Just be here and don't leave me."
"I'll always be here for you."

Two hours later.
"Hey, is everything okay?"
"Listen Darren you're a good guy I just can't go out with you okay I can't do that to my daughter "I'm sorry can you please get out of my store."
"I'm sorry if I overstepped."
"And Darren tell your son to start treating girls better."
