Family

Amelia:
The race ended. So as the trip to Melbourne to Perth. I was really nervous to meet Isaac's parents. I felt like i was his girlfriend, even though I wasn't. I was his friend, right?

But I feel something weird when he looks at me. Those curls, those eyes, that smile. Or maybe it's just a feeling.

We were waiting outside the door. I was so scared, what if they don't like me? What if I make a bad impression? Lost in all my thoughts, I saw.

The door opened. I saw an old woman, in her late 50's, she has beautiful curls as Isaac. She smiles at us and then in the background was the little Liam who was running towards me.

"Ameliaaaa" he said shouting and bumping on me.

"I missed you so much!" He said while hugging me.

"I missed you too, Liam!" I said smiling at him.

"So Liam you know who is this woman?" She asked.

"Yeah grandma, her name and is Amelia and she know how to play the guitar!" He said smiling innocently.

The woman looked at me with kindness.

"Giulia !" She says and put her hand to shake it.

"Amelia!" I said and shook her hand. Even though she knew my name.

"So you're the girl that Isaac was talking about!"

I looked at Isaac, he was red as a tomato. He was speechless.

"Mom!" he whispered.

"It's okay!" I said and touched his shoulder.

We entered in the house, it was a big one. And there was a big table with all kinds of foods. And two people, a woman and a man. That was Isaac's sister and father, Mary and Marc.

We all sat and talk about everything.

Before the dinner was ready we had to wait a little bit.  So I gave everyone's their presents from Mexico.

For Liam I brought a set of Lego.

"You remembered! You remembered that I like Legos!" He said all smiling.

For Mary and for Giulia I brought them a traditional Mexican dress. They were really amazed.

And for Marc I brought some tequila! Made by Juan.
They all thanked me. It felt so amazing. Isaac goes closer to me and whispers.

"You didn't have to do that! Our present was just you!"

"I couldn't come here and give nothing to your family!"

"You could!"

"No, I couldn't!"

I don't know but I started blushing, how closer was Isaac by me.

The dinner was served. It was delicious.

I could see how everyone was laughing, having fun and all the love they had for eachother. It felt different to me. It was so overwhelming for me.

I mean in my family we barely had dinners together. Mom was working all night and I was with Juan, but it was so empty without mom. I tried to tell her once that I really want her to stay one time to dinner and tell me about her day. I even promised that I will pay her just to stay one time with us! I was 7 . I was stupid in that time.

But they felt so welcoming, I felt that I take part of their family. All thanks for Isaac.
