Chapter 9: Hidden

Silvia was smiling at Lilith, only catching bits and pieces of what she was saying. When she finally started paying more attention, Lilith said, "Also, I know there are some people here that have magic, is there anyone who has a cloaking spell, or something like it?"

Silvia finally focusing on what she was saying asked, "Why? I mean I bet there is someone who has cloaking magic, but why do you need them?", "Well, my family can't find us if they can't see us." Lilith said with a grin on her face.

"Wow, this really is your area of expertise. Maybe this should be your job from now on. Would save me a while lot of time." Silvia said, smiling at her. "I think I'll stay right in the position I'm in now. You can't kick me out of the group that easily. And just when I got really good at fighting?" Lilith laughed at the end of her sentence.

Silvia couldn't help but laugh with her. "We can ask Gabe if he has any spells like that. Most of his spells consist of protection spells." Silvia said, looking back up at Lilith, who was still standing. "Can we ask him now or in the morning? It's pretty late now." Lilith said, pulling out a pocket watch. "It is?" Silvia hadn't realized how much time had passed.

She felt entranced by Lilith. Why did she spend almost an hour just staring at her while she was doing all of her work? "Did someone say my name?" They heard, and they looked up to find Gabe. Guess he was awake. "Oh hi. Ya we wanted to ask if you had a cloaking spell. Either that or something close to it." Lilith asked.

"Well, I do have a cloaking spell. What do you need it for?" He asked looking between the both of them. "Can you put that spell over the camp?" Silvia asked. "I've never had to use that spell on something as big as the camp but I'll try. Whatever I can't cover I'll have Oliver cover with whatever he can to make us blend in more."He said, looking around the tent now.

"I guess I'll start now. I'll start with your tent, then move on to the rest." He said, trying to leave but Silvia stopped him. "No. You will start with Irma's tent. If we get caught I wouldn't be able to live with myself if the injured were kidnapped. After you are done there move onto the family tents. My tent is the least of your priorities." She said, standing from her chair.

"Yes ma'am. I'll get on that right away. I'll let you know how it went in the morning." Gabe said, then left. "If we were to be found out, you would be one of the first ones they found. If he can't get to all of the tents, including yours, how will you be protected?" Lilith questioned. "I can protect myself."She smiled at Lilith.

"Against magic? I don't care how strong you think you are, no one can fight magic unless they have some of their own." Lilith glared at Silvia. Not like she was mad at her but more like a mother scolding her child after they made a stupid decision.

"Can you please stop it with the "what if" 's. I'll be fine. I can protect myself. And even if I can't protect us, I have plenty of magic users that can help to protect my people if we get caught.", " Your people aren't my concern! Most of them, if not all of them will be protected by magic. You are my concern. What if you end up dead because you made this decision?!" Lilith yelled.

"Then I will die doing what is right. Besides, they have never actually cought any of us before." Silvia said, giving Lilith a reassuring look. "Ya well you have to start thinking more about yourself along with your people. The rebellion is nothing without you. If you die, we all do. Just- just think about it. Ok?" Lilith said,. walking out of the tent but lingering at the entrance. "Goodnight. Get some rest please." She said, and walked off. "Goodnight." Silvia whispered, smiling to herself.
