Chapter 1: Feels Like Home: Move To Philly

Feeling embarrassed I took all the stuff off the bed. Then hoped in the shower. Oh my name is Gabriel Howard but my friends here call me Gabe. I'm 5'10" brown skin and great body. Friends say I favor Micheal B Jordan who played lead in Friuthvile staton. I'm gay, masculine and a virgin but consider myself versatile. No body knows except for A few friends here but that am doesn't matter now. I'm leaving to attend college in Philly for a degree in Architecture. I don't know where this journey going take me but I'm ready.

Mom: Gabe are you ready to go as yet. Come down here eat your breakfast so I can drop you and your sister to the airport.

Gabe: I'm coming mom! I was in my room getting dressed still thinking about the dream I had last night. Freaky thing is I always feel like someone is watching me. As fucked up and scary as it is I kind of like it. I put on my fitted with a short jeans and black wife beater. I took all my bags then I headed down stairs. I made sure my room was fixed then I hit the door.

Gabrielle: You ready to go?

Gabe: You know it sis but I don't know why you got to go to a different college then me

Gabrielle: I don't know why you going to Philly for school any way.

Gabe: They have a great architecture program there. Plus aunty Katherine is there and cousin Tino going the same school.

Gabrielle: I'm going right in Baltimore so we a few hours away. Once I buy this car I will drive down to see you. I excited to get life started I hope you are two. We are both going to universities and going be on our own. Besides I don't want be no where near my aunt cause I don't want no one to tell me what to do.

Gabe: I'm just happy to get out of here for a few months. Explore the world but no one is telling me what to do I living in the dorms

Gabrielle: You do know Philly there is hardly be any sun.its like the only state or place in the world that's always cloudy. I heard it's nice though so do enjoy.

Gabe: I still don't see why you don't just fly with me to Philly

Gabrielle: That makes no sense then I still have to find my way to Baltimore. My sister and I went downstairs and my father did just come back through the door. He was an architect so this was why I loved it so much growing up watching him.

Greg: My two beautiful children about to leave daddy.

Gabe: Daddy stop over dramatizing the situation you know you want us to leave this place.

Greg: Of course I want my children to be educated. He took out two large envelopes and he gave us once each. He said these are two buy you both cars when you get over there.

Gabe: Everything is in walking distance for me so I'll hold on to the money for awhile until I find a job then I will buy one

Mom: Gabe my sister will be to the airport in Philly waiting on you and sweet heart I called the school in Baltimore I talked to someone about picking you up.

Gabrielle: Uh mom I could've gotten a cab. I know what I'm doing and I'm not a kid

Mom: I know you aren't baby but I just want make sure your ass don't end up on NBC news because you turned up missing. Gabe load up the car with the rest of the things so we can go. U.S. Airways does be on time with there non stop flights

I did what she told me so I was outside putting the bags in the trunk. Deep in the trunk I heard my name getting called so I jumped up. It was this guy I was talking to from my school that I use to date on the low. His name was Damon he was six feet light skin and rocked a fro. He was a fine as dude but he isn't faithful.

Damon: You was gone leave without telling me good bye

Gave:You got a girlfriend without telling me so why me leaving is a thing with you

Damon: That's not the same thing Gabe you know that.

Gabe: Look my parents about to come out side to please just lay off a bit. You hurt me bro and I'm glad I didn't give my virginity to you

Damon: I'm sorry how many times do I have to say that. It just happened but you know I don't really love her I love you

Gabe: You confused bro and I know I'm not out or anything but I still know what I want. We probably wouldn't have worked out and anyway cause I'm leaving. I only will be home on breaks

Damon: I'm going to miss you Gabe I'm coming Philly to see you in a few weeks. Going show you how much I care about you just watch and see. Can I get atleast a hug good bye before your parents come out the house. I gave him a hug but I wasn't into him no more to be honest. We met on this app called Jack d and been talking for a little while. We started hanging then it got serious but he cheated on me now he got a girlfriend. He is confused but I should've known nothing will never come out of hook up sites.

Mom: Ok let's go Gabrielle. Gabe your father wants to talk to you. I walked up to the front door to tell my father I was gone

Greg: Son I love you with all my heart. Please be safe and take care of yourself. You a man now so be a man and be responsible. Your mother and I will come and visit during spring break ok. Come give me a hug as he said he loved me again I said it back. I looked at him and tears started running down his face.

Gabe: pap don't cry man you going to make me cry

Greg: I'm sorry it's just that my two babies leaving me. I know it was going happen but I don't want you to go. I can't be selfish cause I do want you to get a great education so go on and make me proud. We said our final good byes as I went in the car. We drove off and I watch him wave through the window. When we got to the airport my mom checked us in but when it came time to go in the back she just started crying herself.

Mom: my babies please be careful and your cousin will be at the airport to drop you off at the school and Gabrielle I made sure the school have someone waiting on you as well. We kissed and hugged then we left our mom as we went through security. As soon as we got to the back our flights called. My sister and I were booked on two separate flights but same airline. We hugged then we went to our gates. She shouted I'm going come up and hang on weekends so I said promise. She shouted of course once I get this car.

Gabrielle: even shouted she loved me and that was a first. She normally a hard ass but I guess the feeling of me and her going off alone made her warm up to me. I board the plane and in no time we were in the air. When I reach Philly I got my bags and headed out my cousin was there waiting on me.

Tino: Gabe my man! Future architect what's up with you

Gabe: I'm good just ready to get my life on the go now.

Tino: Well let's get it on the go. I have to drop you off at the college right because you got to get your room and classes together. Tino was my first cousin and it just happens that they move to Philly when I'm about to go school here. Tino is about 6'1" in height and he is more slender then rip. He is about 26 years old and he got a nice job as a graphic designer but he still study it at my college as well . He has his hair in the gumby fade and he favors August Alsina.

Gabe: right as we walk to his car that's outside the airport I felt like I was home some how. You ever felt like you belong a certain place. As I put my bags in the trunk I looked inside the airport and it looked like this cute guy was staring at me. I know I am fly and everything but he just was staring. As I smiled at him and looked again he was gone. I said to myself what the fuck I'm I drunk or something where did he go.
