You can't do anything.

The searching isn't helping.

You're useless.

Everything you think has always been wrong.

They're going to keep dying.

They're going to keep getting killed.

It's your fault.

It's all your damned fault.

You couldn't help him enough— that's why he ran away.

You knew he couldn't cope with their deaths.

You always knew.

Why didn't you help him?

Pie tried to force the thoughts out of her mind as she kept looking for Black Hole. She hadn't seen him all day, so she was starting to get worried. And knowing him, he was still very upset about Tree and Remote. So Pie wanted to be there for him if he needed it.

Pie rubbed her temples as she kept trekking, trying to keep back her negative thoughts. She had a task to fulfill. She knew that.

Unknown to Pie, there was someone at a near distance.

Watching.

Waiting.

Stalking for the perfect time to strike.

He followed the explosive pastry on her search for the cosmic entity, swiftly hiding behind a tree when she felt she was being watched.

Eventually, Pie took a break by the pool. She sighed, wondering where Black Hole could've gone, or if he was even still on the planet anymore. As she sat there, contemplating her thoughts, Loser decided to use this time to start up some small talk.

"Why the long face?" He sat down next to the stressed Pie, wearing a concerned facade.

"... I just.. I'm worried about Black Hole."

"How so?"

"He's been really upset about Tree and Remote, to the point he's pretty much depressed. I haven't seen him all day, so.. I'm worried."

"Oh, I see."

Loser acted as a safe space for Pie, watching her vent out all her problems while pretending to listen. He began to feel bad for what he was planning, but.. he didn't care. Just one step closer to fame.

"... Thanks for that, Loser. No wonder you're so famous." Pie had finished talking, and felt slightly better, but she almost forgot about Black Hole.

"No problem. One more thing though..."

"Yeah?"

Pie looked at Loser, a curious expression on her face. Loser raised his hand and placed it on Pies shoulder, his grip weirdly strong.

"Have you ever wondered what it's like to d r o w n ?"

".. Loser, wh-" Pie was interrupted as she was suddenly thrust into the water, Losers hands holding firmly on her throat.

Pie grabbed onto Losers wrists and flailed in the water, trying to breathe, trying to reach the surface. She could barely see Losers sadistic grin as his grip tightened on her throat, drowning her. She began to tremble a little as the cold water closed around her. As time began to slow down, Pie found herself growing more tired. Loser was starting to be more violent in the drowning process, too.

With that, Pie just.. gave up.

"Some days I survive, some days I don't. It's really no big deal either way."

Black Hole had finally descended from the starry sky, finished with a silent meltdown. He hoped he hadn't worried the team too much..

until he saw pie in the pool.

Seeing this, Black Hole could only stare and sink into the ground, too mentally drained to make another scene.

He simply just started silently crying.. somehow.
