Dean smiled, watching as Cami crawled around the motel room.

Sam walked in and set a gift bag down. "I got something for Cami."

"Thanks, man."

Cami pulled herself up and tried grabbing at the gift bag. When she couldn't reach it, she yelled in frustration.

"Do you want to open your gift?" Dean asked.

Cami looked at him as if to say yes.

"Okay, kiddo. Let's do it." He set her on his lap and grabbed the gift bag. He helped Cami pull out the contents.

Together, they pulled out a small stuffed dog and a little cupcake.

Dean took the cupcake before Cami could smash it or eat the plastic and set her down at the table.

He opened the cupcake and he and Sam sang Happy Birthday, then he began feeding Cami bits of cupcake.

The brothers laughed, watching as Cami's eyes widened at the taste. She kicked her feet excitedly and stretched her arms in the air.

Dean chuckled. "It's pretty good, isn't it? Your uncle will disagree, but pie is better."

Cami opened her mouth and Dean put another piece of cake in and she ate it happily.

Dean tucked her hair back and smiled. "Happy birthday, sweetheart."

Sam smiled at the two, then turned to his niece. "Happy birthday, Cami."

Dean glanced at his brother. "Thanks for the gift."

"Of course."

He reached down and shook a book between his hands. "This is a book I loved when I was little. I'm hoping you like it too."

"Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel?"

"Mhmm. It's a good book."

"Yeah, it is."

Cami yawned and Dean smiled. "All right, kiddo, let's clean you up and get you down for a nap."

Dean picked his daughter up and cleaned her face and hands, checked her diaper to see that she was clean, and sat on the bed with her on his chest and patted his back as he softly hummed Hey, Jude.

When she had fallen asleep, he laid her on the bed and said softly, "Sleep well, kiddo."
