"Lets get this straight." Tatum munched on a carrot stick. "You need me and my exquisite photography skills to promote your team using my club?"

"If you don't mind, of course."

Tatum blinked in excitement.

"Oh my god, yes!" She cheered, accidentally spitting chewed up carrot from her mouth. "Shit- sorry. But of course I will! Is Shauna-"

"This is not a invitation to get close to Shauna. Coach Scott asked if you could push promotions so come around to practice tomorrow. Take some pics of the team. Then at the final game, more pics."

"Sure," Tatum sighed, a little less enthusiastic about the whole ordeal now that Grey shut down her devious plans to bond with Shauna. "I'll make some print outs, gather a crowd. Work my magic."

"Thank you. I owe you."

"Since you owe me, what's Shauna's favourite color?"

Grey narrowed her eyes. She thinks about giving her friend false information but realised how shitty that would be if she were in Tatum's position.

"Dark blue. She loves dark blue."

"You're a great friend," the shaggy haired blonde shot up from her seat and pluckered a sloppy kiss on Grey's cheek. "I'll see you tonight."

Grey watched Tatum walk away, laughing at the bounce in her step. She's never seen her so thrilled about someone's favourite color— in fact, there had been no recount of Tatum ever being invested in what a girl likes.

The smile on Grey's lips turned to a frown. How far has Tatum tumbled down the rabbit hole.

By nine o'clock, Grey's party was in full swing and not once had she seen her friend, Tatum. She had, however, got suckered into a conversation about God with Laura Lee. Grey was an atheist, but she didn't mind hearing the girl speak so passionately about her religion— mostly because she had such a calming voice that it lulled Grey of her worries.

"Oh! Look, Lottie's here." Laura Lee grinned, squeezing Grey's forearm. "I'll catch up with you later! Great turnout for your party by the way!"

And off she goes, skipping over to the Matthews girl with a cheesy smile and wrapping her up in a hug. Grey chuckled to herself and continued a short journey to her kitchen.

"If you're going to fuck, do it upstairs in one of the spare bedrooms." She barked at a couple who were almost inside one another. They scrambled off the countertop at the sound of her voice.

She poured lemonade into what she hoped wasn't a used cup and took a couple sips. Definitely used. Grimacing, she tossed the cup and lemonade into the overflowing trash bin.

"Beckett!"

Grey smiled. "Hey, Natalie. How'd you do on the calculus test? Did my tutoring pay off?"

"Flunked it," Natalie shrugged. "I missed a couple questions. Doesn't matter."

"You skipped class didn't you?"

The blonde giggled. "You're stalking me now. Do I have to put a bell on you?"

"If anyone's responsible for stalking, blame Misty. I asked her about you and she would not shut up for a second. Do you still sleep with a stuffed penguin and how does she know that?"

Natalie blushed. "I'm going to kill Misty."

"So it's true," Grey said. "You cuddle with a little penguin at night."
