Dominican Republic, circa late February 2009

It was another bright, sunny day in the Dominican Republic. Everything is tranquil and lively, just like any other day for people who live here or are on vacation. The place's culture, people, and atmosphere make it truly special to some people. And for some, it's about to get a whole lot better.

On one of the many empty roads within the mountain range of the Dominican Republic, a truck with five fuel tanks hooked up to the back is currently on its way to its destination. At least it would be if it were any other day, because a black 1987 Buick Grand National, followed by two custom trucks, with the first truck behind the Buick being red, and the other primarily also being black. Dominic Toretto is driving the lead car, with Letty as his passenger. As they near the fuel tanker, Dom speaks into his radio.

Dom: "Alright, we're good to go."

He then looks over to Letty, an unwavering confidence in his eyes as he gazes at her. However, he still has an underlying concern for her safety, which Letty secretly appreciates despite knowing she can care for herself.

Dom: "You got this?"

Letty: "You bet your ass bubba."

The two share a quick kiss before she, now seen with a harness that's carrying a small tank of liquid nitrogen on her back that's also connected to a hose that she can dispense it with and a hammer to break whatever she freezes it with, climbs out of the car through the passenger side window and on top of the hood of Dom's car.

Letty: "Let's make some money!"

Dom: "Everyone in position," he orders through the walkie

That's when Han, an old friend of Dom's, speaks over the radio as he drives the red truck behind Dom alongside a woman, Cara, sitting next to him as she'd also be part of the plan.

Han: "I thought we'd be robbing banks by now, not some gas truck in the middle of nowhere."

Letty: "Down here, gas is gold, bubba."

That's when Tego, a Dominican resident and former street racer, speaks up on the radio.

Tego: "Si, pero los bancos no se mueven (Yeah, but banks don't move)."

That's when his friend and passenger, Rico, laughs.

Rico: "Cada vez que te acercas a un banco... tenemos que sacarte el culo de la cárcel (Anytime you get near a bank... we have to break your ass out of prison)."

He then tries to take the radio out of Tego's hand, but the latter won't budge as the radio squeals due to the struggle, one which Dom puts an end to.

Dom: "Kill the chatter! Game time."

Letty: "I wouldn't piss him off, guys."

Shortly after, Letty jumps off the hood of Dom's car and onto the first tank the truck is pulling as she climbs up the ladder to get to the coupling holding it. As she does, Dom speeds up and pulls in front of the truck to prevent it from moving any faster and to stay in one lane for Letty's safety. As Dom pulls in front of the truck, the driver rolls his eyes before his pet iguana, sitting next to him, growls because he wants a bite of the candy bar in the driver's hand.

Driver: "Si, si, te escucho (Yeah, yeah, I hear you)."

He then takes his hand that has the candy bar off the steering wheel and lowers it in front of his pet iguana to grab a bite, but instead takes a big chunk out of it, causing the driver to shout in protest and jerks his hand away to prevent his pet from eating any more.

Driver: "¡Oye, perra codiciosa! (Hey, you greedy bitch!)."

As soon as he was ready, Dom spoke up through his radio.
