Where nothing can hurt me
The sun's rays shine down
Through all the leaves of the tall trees
And animals graze quietlyIt is peaceful
Sometimes the forest is dark
With fireflies scattering in the grass
The moon glowing above
I can make out all the constellationsIt is peaceful
Sometimes the forest is rainy
There are no animals then
Because everyone has gone to bed
The forest is stillIt is peaceful
Sometimes the forest is foggy
I can't quite see what's there
The uncertainty puts me on edge
This is the only time to forest isn't peacefulI don't know what's there
This is the forest I traverse through daily
The foggy uncertainty of the trees
The shadow of a passing animal
The snap of a twigI feel as if the words in my throat
Have become clogged and jumbled
My chest is heavy with things I want, I need to say
But I don't know who I'm talking toA ghost?
A shadow?
A friend?
A foe?I'm not sure where the fog is taking me
But I hope it's back to where the sun shines
The moon glows
And the rain falls gently downWhere it's peaceful...
I imagine I'm in a forest.
