"Hey Jason, check it out! The freak's sitting in my seat!" One of Jason's friends said to him
"He's so wierd!" Another said
"Leave him alone," Jason replied to them. "He's just a new student. Maybe he's not like how he seems." He says as he sits next to Eddie. "What's your name?"
"Eddie" Eddie replies
"That's a nice name," Jason replies, "Say, you wanna be friends?"
"... sure?" Eddie replies reluctantly
"Pfft-" Jason bursts into laughter along with his friends "you really thought I would be your friend?! Ha! That's so dumb!" He says while laughing at Eddie
"That hurt my feelings a bit" Eddie says, his voice full of sarcasm as he chuckles and leaves to a different table where he meets Steve and the future hellfire members. "Hey can I sit with you guys?" He asks them
"Sure!" Jeff says welcoming Eddie with a kind smile
"Uhhh don't you have your own table or friends?" Steve asks seemingly not wanting to be near Eddie.
"No that's why I asked dumbass" Eddie replies in a kind and joking way but also with a hint of attitude and annoyance.
"Bahahaha! Steve got called a dumbass!" Dustin says
"Ha! I like him, he's joining our table!" Mike says
"Only for today." Steve says, "after that he leaves."
"Nope he's staying until he wants to leave." Says Gareth making Eddie smile for a split second, his smile looked like that innocent child hiding a lot trauma. Eddie sat down and laid his head down as he had already eaten his lunch.
"Hey so what's your name?" Dustin asks him
"Eddie." Eddie replies, "currently going my the last name Munson"
"Nice to meet you Eddie!" Dustin says smiling
"Thanks" Eddie says finally smiling for the first time in a long time
'He's kind of cute...' Steve thought to himself, 'What, no! He's a freak! I can't like him!' Little did he know Eddie knew what he was thinking
"Um Steve what's wrong? You're blushing~." Dustin says
"Huh? Oh nothing it's fine.." Steve replies
"Sure it's nothing." Eddie says, "I can read minds Harrington~"
Steve turns red as a tomato, "N- no you can't! Lier!"
"Oh but I don't lie." Eddie replies, "I find it as something very mean or rude"
"I- ... prove it!" Steve says
"Of course. Let's see I'll go for, Dustin!" Eddie says
"Ok! Let me think of a color" Dustin says, 'Green' he thinks to himself
"Green." Eddie says, shocking Dustin.
"You cheated let's do it again but with a number or phrase I'll think of one of the two and you tell me what I'm thinking" Dustin says, 'the yellow hand on the clock looks weird today' he thinks to himself

"I can read minds" Eddie says with a smile and Steve rushes to the bathroom and locks himself in a stall to process what he just let Eddie learn and nobody noticed except for Eddie, "I'll be right back guys" Eddie says after 5 minutes and he goes to check on Steve.
