(Rewrite) Chapter 3: The (Dis)Advantages of Luck

Y/N POV

Darkness:"Please, let me join your party!" Said the blonde woman before us with...enthusiasm, in some way, taking hold of my hand and squeezing it hard enough to possibly crush it, but i was used to it thanks to the cannon

Y/N: "Excuse me, mind repeating that again?" I politely asked forcing her hand to let go of mine, it was a bit too awkward to process it completelt

Darkness:"Those slimy ladies where allies of yours right? What in the world did you do to them!?" More than having any sort of disgust in her voice, she seemed...aroused?

Y/N: In Eris' name, don't let my thoughts be true...

Kazuma:"Oh them? Well, they where swallowed by toads and the mucus-"

Darkness:"It's even worse than how i imagined it!" She interrupted Kazuma placing a hand on her forehead, looking away almost tragically, while her tone of voice told a different story

Y/N: "You could say it's an everyday thing, ask me who's the one that has to save them-"

Darkness:"As a knight i can't overlook such horrors befalling on girls such a tender age!"

Kazuma:"No, i'd advice against it" He bursted in the conversation to give his points of view, understanding my uneasiness in her presence and trying to help out "Our party members are an Arch-Wizard that can only use her magic once a day and the other is an Arch-Priest to which is useless saying how useful she is, and there's me who has the lowest class in the place"

Y/N: "What he said, i doubt you'd even get along with them, so skip this one o-"

Instead of listening to us, she lunged forward and took Kazuma's hands in her's, applying pressure to them

Darkness:"That's even better!" All we managed to do was get her to want to be in more than before "Truth is, this was difficult for me to say, but while i have confidence in my strenght and stamina, i'm a bit clumsy and my attacks hardly ever hit the target..."

Y/N: "You're hurting him" I peeked by Kazuma's side pointing out the obvious, getting her mind off the clouds

Darkness:"O-oh sorry" With that she let go of his hands and backed off a bit

Kazuma:"Thanks..."

Darkness: "But in any case, i'll be taking the front line if you allow me, it'd be my pleasure!" Kazuma let out a chuckle, raising his arm and pushing her back a bit more

Kazuma:"No. We would never use a woman as a shield, so i advice you don't come"

Darkness:"As i said, it would be my pleasure to do it!"

Y/N:"We get eaten by monsters, it's literally the best case scenario of every day"

Darkness:"That would be even more my pleasure!" Our attempts to drive her away only seemed to draw her closer instead

Y/N: Now i see...it's not her skills, she's just as useless as the rest...

Kazuma then moved his hand, as if wanting me to think of something to make it out of the situation

Y/N:"Uh...oh look, do you see that?" I pointed outside the window, making both of them follow my gaze

Darkness:"What is it?"

Y/N:"Literally anything else! It looks amazing, lets go see it Kazuma" I took his arm and dragged him away with me, going out of the guild as fast as we could to leave the blonde knight there
