Ch. 8 The Hangover

*The next day October twelfth *

I wake up in my slobber half of my body is off the bed. I'm seeing double and my head feels like it got hit with a baseball bat. I sit up and I start to regain my vision as I wipe the crust away from my eyes. I start to feel denim rubbing against my legs. I pull up the covers to see me wearing jeans and I'm still in my yellow shirt. It's stained with alcohol and my slobber. I tie my untamed hair back with one of my bracelets praying it won't break in the process.

My phone dings from my back pocket twice. I slowly pull it out of my pocket while popping my back. I check my phone to see two notifications from Elena. I also check the date because it feels like I just got back from another universe." The..twelfth...Thursday. AWWW FUCK ITS A SCHOOL DAY" I groan in annoyance it was 8:09 so I wasn't late. I slowly get up out of bed stretching more. I take off my jeans and then my pants. I walk to the bathroom as I'm still waking up. I get there open the door and look at myself in the mirror.

I look like I'm half dead. Bloodshot puffy eye crust on my face and chapped lips. My head still hurts like hell pounding every few seconds. I start to run a shower and hop in. The warm water makes me more alert and calm. I hop out of the show and grab a towel. I walk back to my room and look around for my sweet pants. I see them stuffed in a drawer. I put them on and a hoodie with some slippers. I grab my book bag and walk downstairs.

I see my mom in the kitchen." How's the hangover?" She asked sarcastically."hell" I replied grabbing my keys. then last night comes back "shit" I put my key down in disappointment and pull out my phone. I am not taking the bus

I stand at the front door for a the ten minutes on TikTok waiting for Kaylee."This is the reason why I didn't punish you because this is punishment enough" My mom said laughing her ass off. I couldn't say anything back because she was right. HONK HONK! "That must be Kaylee." I grab my keys again and walk out the door."BYE MOM LOVE YOU" I said walking out the door. I speed walk to Kaylee's car I hop in and close the door." this is a pain in the ass you know." She spoke pissed "I love you too Kaylee" She starts the engine and drives away. The drive was mostly quiet as I slept.

I woke up and we were there. "We're here wake up sleepy head." "How are you not wasted right now" "I party like every weekend this is nothing." She replied. I made my way out of the car and said thank you as she drove off. I walked to my car opened the door and closed it. I turned on my engine and began to drive to school.
