Ch. 10 Panic

After the rest of math class, I was in a good mood after joking with Mason a bit. Next was history with Mr. Smith. I was still upset about yesterday but I'm trying to shake it off. I said bye to Mason after class and walked to history.

Now this walk was longer because it's on the other side of the building. I got a bit cold so put on my hood. *RING* "shit I'm about to be late" I mumble as I speed walk to class. I ended up getting there three minutes late I cursed as I walked into the class. "Ms. Baylor, you are late again," he grunted holding the class textbook. "I'm sorry sir math is across the building" I muttered"I don't want to hear your excuses detention." No NO, i could not get detention twice I have the concert that day. "Sir please It was three minutes." I start to tremble and chew on my words. "Three minutes too late and why are you dressed in sweatpants have some decorum."

Now he's pointing out something unrelated. He's been like this since the first day. Why me what the hell did I do to him? oh no, it's happening again i feel my palms sweating and I start to feel foggy. I'm being put on the spot in front of the whole class. "ple please si-" "TAKE YOUR SEAT" he yells alerting the class. I can't think I'm breathing so fast and heavy I start to panic. "I..I need to go" I say as I run out of the class looking for the nearest bathroom. I feel the hallway cloud up and I start seeing in tunnel vision. I run to the bathroom and lock myself in the nearby stall. There are some other kids in the bathroom skipping and such but I didn't really notice them. I start breathing heavier and heavier. It wasn't about the concert really it was just being put on the spot like that. Then I just felt my body give up and the last thing I saw was me falling to the floor.

and all of a sudden I'm awake in the school nurse's office."Honey, your mom is on the way it's going to be okay some sweet girl found you in the bathroom and called a teacher." The nurse rambled a bit but was still sweet. I sit up and see Elana in one of the waiting chairs crying a bit. Once she saw that I woke up she ran towards me and gave me a hug. It felt really nice she was warm and comforting she smelt like fresh clothes and apples. "I'm glad your okay Oakland I saw you on the floor and it scared the sh-" "Language missy." "I'm sorry Ms. Ocean it scared the crap out of me." She was so caring and sweet that I started to cry. I noticed that my hoodie was gone and I was wearing my tank top. I looked up and saw Elana looking a little. She was that I noticed as well. "Oh, I'm sorry I thought I was something." "It's alright it's kind of dirty" I knew she was lying but I didn't push it I actually didn't mind at all.

"OAKEY BABY I'M HERE" The second I heard my old nickname I knew it was Mom. "It happened again did it?" I nod my head yes. Elana looked like she wanted to ask but knew it wasn't the time. "You haven't taken your meds in days here have some." My mom consoled me as she gave me my pill and I swallowed them dry ." Looks like your mom has it from here I hope you feel better tomorrow." Elana said hugging me one last time "Thank you" I smiled "Of course, I'll text you," she said as she walked back to her class. Her legs were so graceful and gorgeous with her cute skirt." Who was that hon" my mom asked with a grin."Just a friend" I affirmed still thinking about her touch. "Now I know your lying" Mom joked as she gave me a hug.
