It had been almost a moon since Beechfur's brother, Thrushfang, had been made deputy. All he could do was sit and watch, feeling helpless as his Brother got more and power power hungry, and closer and closer to recieving that power.
Thrushfang had spent the first few sunrises quiet and reserved. However, He had been taking his duties very seriously now and that only made Beechfur even more worried.
Should I talk to Webstar about my concerns?
...
Beechfur had been assigned onto a hunting patrol with Tinyflower and Rustfang. He was relieved to finally get out of camp, but he felt responsible for keeping an eye on his Brother.
"C'mon Beechfur, You're lagging behind." Tinyflower called over his shoulder, snapping Beechfur out of his thoughts. He had fallen behind, and quickly padded up to the other warriors.
As Beechfur followed the warriors, he couldn't ressist asking them a question that had been bothering him. "So, uh- What do you guys think of our new deputy?" he meowed, trying to sound casual and not skeptical.
To Beechfur's surprise, Tinyflower flinched at the question. "He's uh-... He's good. A good choice. I am sure Thrushfang shall make an excellent Leader." He meowed quickly, darting his eyes away from Beechfurs gaze.
Frowning, Beechfur turned to Rustfang. "And you?" he asked, and was returned with a blank nod. Following his gaze, beechfur anded eyes on a rabbit, which was eating something just a few tail lengths away.
Shrugging, he turned back to Tinyflower, frowning. "What?" He asked dryly, his mood was now mixed with churning suspicions and doubt.
