Jungwon groaned as he stirred in the bed. His lids were heavy; therefore, he struggled to open them as the lights from the outside world shone in on him.

"Jungwon, you're alive!" Heeseung exclaimed before he helped the boy sit up. "A-alive? What?" Jungwon asked, dazed.

"You were... pushed down the stairs," Heeseung informed the previously unconscious male.

"I- I...," Jungwon tried to form words as he slowly remembered what happened hours earlier. "Where are Jay and Sunghoon hyung?!" He panicked as his eyes darted around the dull room.

"They're fine, don't worry. You should be focusing on getting rest right now," Heeseung patted the boy on the shoulder.

"No, I have to make sure they're okay, I saw how pained they looked. Are they okay?" Jungwon refused.

"Jungwon, I promise you they're okay. They're not here because they're fine. Please calm down," Heeseung tried comforting the young male but to his surprise, Jungwon looked at him full of irritation.

"What do you mean?! I have to make sure they're okay. I was there I know what happened. I saw how badly they reacted to whatever happened," Jungwon snapped suddenly.

"Calm down, it's okay. I already told you...," — "Bullshit! They're hurt! Where are they?!" Jungwon cut the older off.

"I already told you they're fine. Please cool off a bit. You're injured yourself. Focus on yourself for a bit," Heeseung tried to stay as patient as possible.

"NO! I feel amazing! I don't need anything! What if Haerin is after them right now?!" Jungwon shouted.

"Jungwon, quiet down. I'll take you to...," — "You're their best friend! How could you act this way?! How cruel could you be?! How could you not care about where or how they are?!" Jungwon questioned causing something inside of Heeseung to switch.

He had been protecting the others ever since they stepped foot into that school and hearing Jungwon say that after failing over and over again made him furious, not at Jungwon but at himself.

"YOU COULD'VE DIED JUNGWON! HOW CANT YOU SEE THAT?! SHE TRIED TO KILL YOU!" He shouted back.

"HOW CAN'T YOU SEE THAT THE OTHERS ARE IN DANGER?!" Jungwon continued the argument. He could not believe Heeseung at that moment.

"THEY ARE NOT IN DANGER FOR FUCKS SAKE! WHY DON'T YOU EVER FUCKING LISTEN?! I'M TRYING MY BEST TO KEEP YOU ALL SAFE!" The oldest frustratedly yelled.

"APPARENTLY YOU'RE NOT BECAUSE LOOK WHERE WE ARE! THEY WERE IN PAIN AND YOU DIDN'T DO A THING! PRINCE LEE WASN'T THERE TO SAVE ANY OF US! YOU'RE FAILING AT YOUR JOB LEADER-NIM! FAILING!" Heeseung was taken aback by what he heard Jungwon say. That hurt him tremendously.

"I-I am trying. I'm not perfect, okay? No one wants to fail, why do you think that I want to?" Heeseung teared up.

"I-, Hyung, I'm sorry," Jungwon apologized not knowing what else to do.

"Looks like I've failed with you too. I won't give up but for now don't do what he tells you to do," Heeseung told him.

"W-what do you mean? Why does everyone keep saying he and him?" Jungwon confusedly asked.

"He's here, they finally caught you," Heeseung replied before disappearing. No trace of him left.

Jungwon's eyes widened. Where had he just gone? He had no time to ask questions about Heeseung as he saw two buff men enter the room. They grabbed him and that's when he heard him. He now knew who he was.

"Get the boy and bring him to the office!"

"D-dad?"

a/n note!!: dun, dun, dunnnn! I doubt it's a shocker but 🫢. Also just realized in both of the books I've published (that one book does not exist ☺️) I've made Jungwon say some fucked up shit. (Won't be the last time either) This book will be coming to an end soooon :(. Hope you've been enjoying!
