Upside Down

Chapter 2

>Lia's POV<

I drive home after school and think about what happened today. Gretchen and Andre broke up today. They had been going out for 2 years.

>Flashback<

"Hey Andre, um, what just happened?" I ask him.

"Lia, speak in private please." He says sternly.

"Andre, what's wrong?" I ask him.

"Gretchen just broke up with me." He says choked up with tears.

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah. She broke up with me for him."

Andre points to Hayes and I die laughing.

"HEY NOT THE TIME!" Andre yells.

"She has no chance with him so chill out." I say bursting with laughter.

"I guess you're right." Andre says hugging me.

I look around the classroom and see Hayes staring at us AND Gretchen right next to him. They were both looking over.

>End of flashback<

I stop through the drive thru at Dublin Donuts and order an iced coffee. I look at my review mirror to fix my makeup. I decide to look at the car behind. That was bad idea #1. Hayes was driving the car and staring right at me. I gave him the finger and paid for my coffee.

I pull up in my driveway and get out of the car. As you all remember, Hayes lives on my street. He pulls his car over and gets out and comes up to me.

"What do you want." I say as I slam my car door.

"Just, um, how are you?" He says.

"Uh, fine, how about you?"

"Good. Oh I just wanted to inform you that Gretchen and I are dating."

"Oh, cool."

"Don't tell Andre though, it's a secret relationship I only told you because I trust you."

"Um, excuse me? You trust me? We're not even friends!"

"Are you sure about that..."

"Yes."

"Well too bad, we are now!"

He gets in his car and drives away. Asshole. I'm so telling Andre! #MIDDLESCHOOLLIFE
