Chapter 14

"Phone Calls"

It's the next day and I'm not at school. Why you ask? Because I'm too busy supporting Tiny and her modeling. It sucks. Why do I have to be a supportive boyfriend...

I watch as Tiny and her team get her ready for Photoshoot, putting on makeup and finishing her clothes.

They finish and she looks at me and smiles. "What do you think?" she said modeling for me.

"You're adorable," I said.

"And?"

"You're gorgeous."

"And?"

"I thank God for having you."

"A-"

"Don't push it," I said covering her mouth.

She slaps my hand away. "I wasn't pushing. I was just asking."

She crosses her arms as my phone starts ringing.

"Sorry, I got to take this," I said.

"Did you forget to turn off your phone?" she said.

I wave her off and walk away.

I pull out my phone and answer Unknow Number.

"Hello?"

"You aren't at school?" a familiar hillbilly answers.

"Nah man, I'm with Tiny at her photoshoot."

"You're with the princess? That's great! Tell her I said hi."

"Alright," I said looking back at her.

She seems pissed I'm on the phone so I just wave and look away.

"John, come to school tomorrow."

"Why wouldn't I? I'm not busy tomorrow. Well, I don't think."

"Whatever happens tomorrow you have come, no matter what."

"Why? What's so important?"

"We've been stalking-"

His voice gets cut off by my phone ringing again.

I look at it and see another unfamiliar number.

"Hold on," I said to him then I  answered the other phone call.

"Hello?"

"Don't come to school tomorrow," Stephanie's voice said.

"Stephanie?"

"Yes."

"Why? What's going on?"

"Something going down tomorrow you wouldn't want to see."

I shrug. "Okay."

I look back at Tiny.

"I'll let Tiny know also not to come," I said.

"Thanks. You're a great friend."

"You are too."

The call goes silent for a moment.

"So, what's happening."

"You don't wanna know."

Stephanie hangs up and the call goes back to the cult member.

"Hello?" I said.

"Thank God, I thought you had hung up!" he said.

"Yeah, I'm not coming tomorrow."
