They gave us all a neckless with a number. they said it was to keep track of who we are and what we do. 198650. My number, my identity.
The blonde girl is still crying. her face the colour of a tomato. I stretch my hand over an clasp her hand in mine. she starts snivelling and our gazes meet. "Thank you" she mouths. I smile at her.
The brunette woman took us to a small room with four single beds in it.
"You will stay here until we call you, then we will escort you to the dining room for your first meal here." The blonde woman says she leaves and we here the sound of a key locking a door."How did you do then?" Says the boy with brown hair and eyes. we look at him. "How did you mess up I mean as I don't expect you two girls fought back."
I feel the anger build up inside of me like a knot. Because of my looks, because I'm a girl people put me down. I run over to the boy a pin him against the plain wall behind him.
"What did you say?" I shout at him.
"Look, I'm sorry, but it's true. Your slim and tiny. You look like you wouldn't hurt a fly. What about the other one." He nods his head over to the blonde girl.
"Listen," she says. "We are all here for the same reason. I didn't fight back physically."
"What do you mean?." Says the tough looking boy.
"I fought mentally. Those holograms weren't real. They couldn't hurt me."
We all look at the girl, shocked. How didn't we think of that.
"Well, I think that shocked us all." Says the brunette boy. "I'm Finn by the way."
"Amelia," I say "Call me Mia."
"My name's Gabriella." Replies the blonde girl. We all look expectantly over at the dark haired boy. He is leaned against the wall. He sighs.
"Toby."
My eyes pan around the room. About a meter away from Toby I notice another room. As I walk over to it I realise it's just a bathroom. It's very simple. One mirror, One toilet, One bath, One sink. It reminds me a lot of ours at home.I feel a pang in my heart as I think of Hunter being alone tonight.
"Well lady's and gentleman," Says Finn. "Welcome to our new home."
