Chapter 9

Charles

Charles thought a lot about that what Juliette said earlier that night. He knows she is not wrong but he doesn't want to believe that he will never see her again.

He realises quickly that he should enjoy his last day with her. He texts her "be ready in 10 minutes, I will pick you up."

He arrives at the hotel and waits outside. Juliette comes out with a worried face. He goes to her and cups her face. "I am so sorry. I shouldn't have left like that. You are right, it is too risky to try. I don't want you to get hurt"

Juliette can't find an answer so she just kisses him. "Let us enjoy these last hours. Our flight goes in the evening."

Charles: "Absolutely, beach?"

Juliette agrees and they drive to the beach.

They spend a few wonderful hours together. They swimed, laughed and talked a lot.

He drives her back to the hotel and they slowly have to say goodbye.

Charles: "I don't know what I should say, Juli."

Juli: "Me neither. I will miss you and I am so grateful that I got to know you! We will se, maybe fate will do us a favour!"

Charles: "Mhm, maybe. You have my number Juli, just in case!"

Juli with tears in her eyes: "Thank you, Charles. I wish you all the best"

Charles also with watered eyes gives her a long kiss on her forehead.

Juliette goes inside with one look behind her only to see Charles standing on the same spot watching her.

She takes a deep breath and goes to her room.

In the room she breaks out in tears in Linas arms, thinking of the possibility that it was a mistake to not try it with Charles.

But she gets strong and soon they leave for the airport to fly back home.
