Inupi's POV

As he warned Takemitchy of what Draken was now involved with, he couldn't help but let his mind wander to Y/n. Takemitchy said she was safe but wouldn't explain why, which by the very prevalent blushing and stuttering, it seemed obvious. While he does trust Takemitchy when he says she's safe, it's the Haitani brothers that bother him more than he could put into words.

She did look happy to see them, but she looks happy to see everyone. Perhaps her excitement is something I shouldn't overthink. She is a very beautiful woman. Sweet and sincere...

I should've gone after those creeps and took her back, regardless.

He sat quiet and still after Takemitchy left, debating for mere moments before hurriedly getting up to go get her.

He had only made it a few steps away when he saw them. He nearly had a heart attack from fear seeing the eldest carry her while she was obviously unconscious.

I will beat them to death if they hurt her!

They must've known exactly what he was suspicious of because Ran walked right up to him with his signature smirk and held her out as if to pass over a delicate package.

His eyes widened when he realized that not only was she simply asleep but had fresh dried tears on her cheeks. Once again, he didn't have to say a word as he pulled her into his arms with an intense glare written on his face before Ran spoke.

"She's had a rough time and yeah we already know we'll receive death threats galore if we're lying." Ran's eyes looked over her with a softness foreign to most delinquents, causing Inupi to be overwhelmed with doubt as his spirit fell.

Maybe....there is something more..

"We just needed to talk to her. It's been way too long." With that, the brothers quickly departed into the night without looking back.

Inupi brought her inside, walking right into Draken once the door opened. He didn't say anything to him, as he looked over her under better lighting for wounds.

They could be lying. They could've hurt her...

"Glad they finished holding up their reputation as delinquents." Draken's words cut through his thoughts, and he couldn't help but feel confused.

"What do you mean?" he asked as he laid her on the couch. Inupi smiled.

She's a cute heavy sleeper.

"At this point, everyone knows about Y/n. There are few who wouldn't fight for her, though..." Draken looked at her from a few feet away. "She can't see it. Emma told me she is more of a straight forward person and she could see a heart, but I'm sure after Mikey, she isn't willing anymore. She's aware of her own feelings but if I had to guess, she's afraid of voicing them now."

Inupi's brows furrowed with confusion. "I thought she forgave him?"

Draken nodded. "She did and keeps doing it, but Takemitchy mentioned something about what he found out from...some sources." Inupi listened quietly to everything Draken said and couldn't ignore the feelings of rage bubbling inside him.

She isn't like that at all....

"It's okay, Inupi." Her tired voice cut through their discussion, and he shot to his feet, immediately questioning her about if she was alright and what happened. He listened as she explained and even though she assured him she was fine he couldn't shake the drop in his stomach.

They didn't hurt her...but I still hate their guts.
