HEADING IN one direction should not be a problem for two extremely prudent and adult teenagers. And yet, it caused a lot of problems that they couldn't explain.
Mae looked around the desert planet, observing the changes in the sky thoughtfully. They were lost, as she suspected, but she didn't know if she should blame Asher and his belief that they were heading in the right direction. Or maybe herself and her imperfect trust in her brother's abilities, which she decided to change in the last straight path that looked like the previous one.
"We won't find Kamari at this rate." Asher pointed out firmly, clenching his hands into fists as he lowered them along his rather tense body.
Mae sighed, stopping in her tracks. "You know who we need." She muttered dissatisfied, looking towards her older brother.
"Uncle Obi-Wan." They weren't twins, but it was easy for them to agree with each other when they said the same words in the same minute.
The brunette sighed again, stopping in her tracks, trying to plan the perfect route to the arena in her head. It had come easily to her before, but her mind began to complicate matters the moment she realized they knew what they would find there.
Will it be a living Kamari or maybe a dead one? Or they would come to the moment when they should be executed, she didn't know how many things could be waiting for them, but she knew one thing. Fear took over her thoughts, and only dark scenarios appeared in her head.
"Obi-Wan can't know about this," Asher began, devastated, taking his only chance to lighten the mood with a poor joke, "it'll kill him."
"Or he'll kill us," Mae snorts with a short laugh, wanting to feel some of the power to know where they should be heading. "Which doesn't sound too bad at this point."
