Having been at St George's Park for the last couple of days and the official 2022 squad being announced, we were ready to travel to Wolvohampton to play against Belgium.

We'd been in training all morning but it was nothing too intense, not wanting to tire ourselves out too much or risk anything before tonight's game. Even though it was only a friendly, tonight's game would set a precedent for the rest of the tournament. It would show everyone our game style and our training.

I'd just finished getting changed and was gathering my stuff together when Leah approached me.

"So you want the window seat?" she asked, knowing we almost always sit together and I love a window seat.

"No, not happening." Georgia shouted as she and Keira came over to us.

"Excuse me?" I laughed as Georgia pulled me up from the bench.

"I've got dibs on you." Georgia grabbed my arm and looped it through hers.

"And I've got dibs on you." Keira smiled at Leah. "Sorry lovebirds, you'll have to do an hour without each other."

"Hahaha." I laughed fakely. "Speaking of lovebirds, how come you're not sitting with Lucy?"

Georgia and Leah both burst into laughter at my comeback and the evident bright red blush creeping onto Keira's face.

"I mean personally I wouldn't have that." Leah added, trying to add fuel to the fire.

The four of us went to the reception to wait for the bus to turn up and then we'd be on our way.

"You gonna cope without me for an hour?" Leah nudged me as we sat on one of the sofas.

"I'm sure I'll be fine. Always preferred Gee over you anyway." I smiled up at her.
