A/N: The First Boss will be sort of ran through quickly, merely because I wanna get on with this book and that's the best way, Fuscus I plan on taking time to craft into a better written fight than Illfang.
Ace looked into the mirror, to say looking like his real self was a demotivator was an understatement, when he was Haruhi Yukihara, he didn't have the same confidence as Ser Ace, The White Moon Knight.
The two were as different as night or day, Ace was supposed to be taller than an average man, have a face with rigid cheekbones and a kingly smile with teeth whiter than the snow, utterly flawless and completely perfect.
The ideal of who he wanted to be, Haru took to the stories his mother used to read to him, stories that apparently were quite common to tell your children to make them want to grow up big and strong where she was from.
So he took to games to become those stories his mother told him about.
The Once and Future King Arthur Pendragon, who wielded the Holy Sword Excalibur and led the Knights of the Round, who were all considered equal to Arthur.
Siegfried, the mighty prince who wielded Balmung, married the beautiful princess Kriemhild and slayed the mighty dragon called Fafnir.
Charlemagne, wielder of Joyeuse, changed to different colors of the rainbow and had twelve followers or "Paladins" that carried out his will and went on wacky adventurers.
Those characters are all who inspired Ser Ace, a mighty hero, knight, and prince that rode to save his people of danger, and to fell mighty beasts, and went on quests to find holy relics.
Meanwhile, Haruhi Yukihara was the complete opposite.
Where Ace was an outstanding 6"5, or 195.58 cm, Haru was only 5"4, or 167.64 cm.
Haru's face was smushy, he was only just now 15 and he still hadn't fully started his growth spurt, his face was that of a young boy's still and not a face sculpted by the gods to be the beacon of beauty, that was flawless with no blemishes, it was small, rounded, and his cheeks were riddled with freckles.
His dirty blonde hair was the combination of his parents' hair colors, his dad being brown and mom having blonde hair, he also believes he got the short end of the stick with his eyes, the brown coming from his mom's family, even if he was envious he didn't have her pretty diamond blue eyes.
His parents have tried to show him that his outer looks aren't what matters entirely anyway, though this backfired slightly and began the thought that even his parents thought he was ugly.
His mom convinced him otherwise, but his self-confidence never went up. In fact, the only person who was able to do that was his best friend.
"Ace? You good? You've been in there a while." Sigrid asked
"Uh, yeah, I'm good!" He hollered back
Sigrid opened the door to see him sitting in front of the mirror, which made her sigh and sit next to him.
"Come on, you were doing so good the first two weeks. What's wrong of all a sudden?" Sigrid asked as Ace turned away.
"My adrenaline, it worth off, I'm not sure anymore, I can't help but see my weaknesses whenever I see my own face."
"Hey, Haru, take a deep look in the mirror."
Sigrid said as she stood behind him and looked in the mirror as well"Okay?"
"Tell me what you see,"
"I see Haruhi Yukihara, an unimportant, bland, average, and dull kid whose interesting trait is the biggest thing people don't like about him."
