Luke opened his eyes tentatively. He winced upon feeling the sting. Ouch… He really hated that idiot Saingh for smashing his glasses in. They were his only pair, after all. Squinting his eyes, his vision suddenly focused and zoomed onto a figure behind a glass window that had to be acres away. How was that possible? Luke was not wearing his glasses, and even then his vision had never been so clear. Attempting to raise his hands to wipe his eyes, Luke realised with a start that he was chained to a metallic table. Luke felt anger bubbling up in him. He had never liked being trapped and here he was, trapped against his own will! What had he ever done? Just then, the sound of a door being slammed open reverberated inside the hall. Soon after, two people dressed in white from head to toe, and who were wearing masks, came over and pressed a few buttons on a nearby panel. The table slowly rose – What in the world? – and a bright light shone into his eyes without warning. Luke shrieked, thrashing about, trying to blink away the blindingly bright light, but to no avail. Luke suddenly stopped moving. He lay perfectly still on the table, not moving an inch at all. Snapping his eyes open, he zoomed out and looked at the hall in its entirety. It was more like a glass chamber, Luke observed emotionlessly. He was past emotions already. When all of a sudden, Luke was jerked back into his body. He noticed almost immediately that there was a cut on his forehead and tentatively reached his tongue out to try the blood when he was slapped hard. "Can't have him becoming a vamp, now can we?" One of the white dressed guard whispered to the other under his breath. Attempting to gather his emotions again, Luke wiggled and stretched his hand towards the panel. Come on, just a little bit more.....
