Chapter 5
Siyong rose from his bed with a start. Looking out of the windows, he glanced worriedly at the waning moon. The silver rays sliced through the darkness and illuminated his drab bed and the few possessions he owned – an MP3 that he had smuggled in, his (hacked) iPhone, dirty and second hand clothing and the notebook. The notebook… Siyong sighed. It was dawn and the rest would wake up soon. Best get to the showers before the rest did. In situations like this, Siyong would happily grin at the thought of being able to enjoy the hot water for once, but somehow he only felt disheartened. The dream had really taken the spirit out of him… Siyong’s eyes were drifting shut, but they snapped open immediately at this thought. The Dream! Siyong scrambled towards the ancient, battered and cumbersome block of wood that they called a desk. Yanking a pen out of the holder, he proceeded to scribble down his most recent dream.
Meanwhile, Christian admired the waning moon from his bedroom window. It was times like these that persuaded him to go on living. Well, that and the mystery girl that haunted him in his dreams… It would be perfect for an escape at this time… An enigmatic grin stretched across Christian’s face… It would be perfect, and no one would notice him…
Siyong’s reflection stared back at him from the frame of the grimy bathroom mirror. Startling green eyes mixed with a slight tinge of purple stared back at Siyong and he quickly looked away. Those eyes had been his death for the past 19 years of his life in which he had been living there. His eyes landed on his watch and he almost gasped. 3 hours had been wasted just looking into the mirror! Well, I better get going... Don’t want to meet another boy in here now, do we? Grimacing at the slight spills of a liquid beneath the sink, Siyong carefully turned on the tap. Ice cold water gushed out of it and into the chipped and yellowing sink. Well, some things just could not be changed. Taking great caution to avoid stepping on the liquid, Siyong washed his hands underneath the chilling water.
It was dark. Completely dark. This part of the “orphanage” did not have any windows, and it would be the perfect cover to escape. Sneaking along the wall, he hoisted his belongings over his shoulder and crept quietly through the corridors to the back door. Just then, a flicker of light appeared at the end of the corridor. Christian cursed – Who could it be? Peeking around the corner, he sighed in relief when he realized that it came from the boys toilet, whose door was now closed. Taking a running leap, he gracefully avoided the patch of light and continued walking. It had been going smooth, until Christian crashed into the newly installed flower pots. The pot arced through the air, and Christian ran to grab it. Taking a dive, he smashed to the floor with an “Oophm” but still the pot crashed out of his reach.
“Crash!” Christian looked around him wildly. There was no way that the crash did not just wake up the entire level. His heart thumped and he flung his head around like a frightened rabbit. He had always hated this feeling, the feeling of being a frightened prey with its life on the line. Deciding to make a break for it, he flung himself down the corridor and through the back door.
“Crash!” Siyong was startled out of his thoughts by a sudden crash from the outside. Out of pure curiosity, he peeked his head out of the door. To his utter disbelief and shock, CHRISTIAN of all people was standing outside there, looking around guiltily before running away. Oh no you aren’t getting away, Siyong thought angrily. Grabbing his iPod from beside the sink, he raced out after Christian, using his slight body frame to his advantage and hiding whenever needed. The chase was on.

A/N
This is utter rubbish!
At the last part, Siyong thinks Christian is a thief.
Which doesn't make sense.
But whatever.
