"It seems Didi's plan has proved to be a great success." Yue Qingyuan stated, walking languidly with Shen Yuan to the Bamboo House.
"I believe it has, Qi-ge. The disciples have grown together in the past years, I've even seen a few of them conversing with each other outside of lessons." Shen Yuan stated pridefully, he couldn't help it! He was so proud of his disciples and his Shizhi for all working so hard to come together and learn from each other!
Not to mention, ever since Ning Yingying—and just as he had suspected, two of her friends—discovered that their Shifu was an Omega, he always had the three little ducklings following after him with bright smiles and positive inputs.
At first, he had been terrified they would out him, only to realize that when the three had promised they would keep his secret. They truly meant it. Even when asked by Shen Qingqiu as to why they all of a sudden followed their Shifu around like ducklings following their mother, their answer was the same and well practiced!
"These disciples have come to learn so much from Shifu! Anything he can teach us is valuable! It's only best if we stay close to him!"
Honestly, Shen Yuan hadn't expected such a well-thought-out answer, or for Shen Qingqiu to believe it. But it had worked! And his disciples apparently found the whole scenario quite entertaining, always whispering to each other about ways they could 'keep up their secret' without anyone ever suspecting them.
Shen Yuan...couldn't help but feel like he was teaching them bad habits.
"Then I suppose it's about time for Shidi to leave the mountains," said Yue Qingyuan. "Is there anything you need?"
The hand Shen Qingqiu was using to fix his sleeve froze. "Leave the mountains?"
"Has Didi forgotten?" Yue Qingyuan asked, surprised. "Didn't you and Xiao-Jiu tell me before to leave the matter of Shuang Hu City to you, as a training opportunity for your disciples?"
Shit! He had forgotten all about it! He had been busy with Ning Yingying and her little friends in the past months, teaching them the proper ways to control their scent—not that Shen Yuan knew much himself, he almost had to relearn everything with them!—along with trying to explain to his Gege as to why the only three Omegas known on Qing Jing were stuck to him like glue without actually admitting he revealed himself!
It was just a troublesome project undertaken by Shen Qingqiu in the original. But while Shen Yuan had been familiarizing himself with his own body's biological reactions and teaching himself a whole new category of knowledge just so he could help the girls, he hadn't even given a thought to that plot point! How could he take disciples down from the mountains for training when he was trying to relearn his own body? Just as he was about to summon his resolve and embarrass himself, by saying that it wouldn't be a good idea to do at the moment, the system's unfeeling voice reverberated in his skull.
[Beginner-level quest issued. Location: Shuang Hu City. Quest: Complete the training. Please click to accept.]
At the same time, the quest synopsis popped up before him with two options on the bottom, the left saying "Accept," and the right saying "Reject."
So this was a beginner-level quest? He could probably just skip it then. Shen Yuan's gaze lingered on "Reject" for a while until the screen flashed red.
[This system apologizes, dear User, but this quest cannot be denied!]
Shen Yuan glared and clenched his teeth. "Then why give the option you hack!?"
The system didn't answer him, only flashing the screen in his face again. [Please click to accept.]
With a soft groan, Shen Yuan's eyes lingered on the "Accept" until the option blinked green, a ding sounded, and the system said, [1 Quest successfully accepted, Please thoroughly read the provided files and make your preparations. We wish you a swift success.]
