It wasn't long after they started walking before rain lightly dropped down from the sky. Alfred pulled out a pocket umbrella and opened it up for them and Kao. "Surprised this thing even exists." He said to Kao. "Yeah, but it sure is useful!" The ram replied.

They hadn't walked long before they made it to the abandoned hotel. Kao looked up and pointed their hoof once more. "Al! Up there!" Alfred looked up and saw the glow from an open window. "Gotcha. That's our target." He said, walking to the door and trying to open it, Kao following close behind. The door was, of course, locked. However, this was one of the only times Alfred was thankful they didn't trim their claws. He scratched through the lock and opened the door, a crack of thunder rumbling in the distance. "Come on."

They explored the hotel for a while before making their way to the main object at hand. There were a lot of different things they could look into and inspect, from leftover coins to even leftover uniforms for new employees! Kao put one of the uniform hats on and said, "Now this is a keeper!" "Kao, we're here to find a ghost, not play around with stuff." Alfred told them, pocketing a dime. "Okay, Al. Still keeping the hat, though." Kao replied.

They eventually found the room they were looking for after what felt like hours. Alfred made a shushing motion to Kao, and the ram nodded. Alfred peeked over the area where the door once was. They quietly gasped. But it was not a ghost he had seen.
