I wish you were here
I wish you were here, by my side.
The pain is so strong, I can feel the void.
I wait for you, night and day.
But without you, my life is grey.
I think of you, I remember those fond memories.
All those lovely treasuries.
The way you smiled at me, The way you treated me,
Oh, you were always with a puffed chest, full of pride.
Right now, I just wish you were here, by my side.
When I was in distress, you you were soothing.
When I was happy, with me, you were gleaming.
When I was in pain, you were consoling.
There you were, grinning with your mouth wide,
I wish you were here, by my side.
You gave me happiness, you gave me support.
You gave me freedom, and always played sport.
Without you, in this constant dilemma I can never decide.
I wish you were here by my side.
I was cruel to you, I wasn't good enough.
All I did was to look at you and puff.
But only to you, I never lied.
I just wish you were here, by my side.
I wish you were here, by my side.
The pain is so strong, I can feel the void.
And with each passing night and each passing morn.
I try and mend the way things are torn.

A/N: This poem is in no way dedicated to one person. It is for everyone who has reached the abode of the Almighty, when they deserved to have more. I wrote this in memory of some people I have lost in my life. And one more thing. A couple of lines from this poem were written by one of my aunts. I'd not like to take full credit.
