chapter eight

August P.O.V

my eyes fluttered opened. I tried getting out of bed but their were two strong arms wraps around my waist. Matt. I looked up at Matt, quiet snore escape his mouth. I gently unwrapped his arms and place a pillow between them. I walked over to the bathroom I looked at the mirror. Ew. My hair was a mess, my eyes were all puffy, and I had bags under my eyes. Looking at my self in the mirror made me remember everything that happened last night. My dad, my mom, me crying, and the kiss.

I fixed my hair and pulled it into a high pony tail. I walked back into my room seeing Matt propped on his elbows, "good morning" he said in his raspy voice. Jesus. "We should get ready for scho-" he interrupted me "that's not a good idea August you need a break" he was serious. I just sighed. "Well you should get going, then I'm sure Maggie would die without you" I roll my eyes torward the end. He nodded and frowned.

The thing is why would he kiss me if he had a girlfriend. I'm pretty sure it was just to calm me down.

Matt left about an hour ago. Jess and her parents still weren't home they were getting back later today. I sat at the stool in the kitchen and opened my soda. Trying to forget yesterday I scrolled threw my contacts in my phone. One stood out. Baileys. A Lost friend. I clicked her name and started typing

To Bailey:  it's been awhile

I waiting impatiently for her to respond. Until she did

From Bailey: ikr that should change.

To bailey: I miss my best friend I need a friend right now

From Bailey: well I could always fly out there

I got excited as i read the text.

To Bailey: OMG really when

From Bailey: well I'm flying out there tomorrow and staying there with my cousins

To Bailey: holy shit are you serious ill pick you up from the airport.

From Bailey: see you then

I read the text and set down my phone I jump up and down. I was so excited. I made my way over to the couch and turned on the tv.

I was in the middle of watching the foster when the door bell rang. I got up quick and opened the door only to see Matt. "Hey what are you doing here" I asked closings door as he walked in "I need to talk to you" he was sitting on the couch patting the spot next to him gesturing me to sit down which I did "continue" I say as I get comfy he looked into my eyes he got closer and closer next thing I new he crash his lips onto my, he grasp my waist bringing me closer to him I reacted quickly amd kissed him back,  I wrapped my arms around his neck as our lips moved in sync.feeling sparks every second. 10 seconds later he pulled away "what did you feel" he questioned his for head on mine "something I've never felt before" I hesitantly answered "but thay doesn't change the fact that you are dating Maggie" I frowned and made my way up to my room and closed my door. Matthew came barging threw the door "but you dint know why I'm dating her. You dont know the full story"  he paused

"What story" I questioned sitting up "Maggie black mailed me she said if us didn't go out with her she would make your life a living hell. I didn't want that because August I would do anythign for you and I mean everything for you, your special and I didn't want her hurting you" he bit his lip. He was nervous. "Matt...I understand why you did it but if you knew me you would know that I can handle myself and I'm now afraid of her" I was a little passed of why she would black mailed him

"She that's why I broke up with her this morning because after our kiss last night I knew I could bare to eb with someone else I want to be with you not hats bitch" he is now inches away from me "I feel the same way Matt" I could feel my face heat up "August Lee Cole will you be my girlfriend" he was so close I could feel his breath on me "I would love to Matthew Lee espinosa" I pulled his face and connected out lips, it was a simply meaningful kiss but it poured out our emotions he pulled away and smiled

"I love your smile" I giggle

"I love your face"he said really quick "smooth Matthew smooth" we both laugh until i snorted "did auggie just snort" he smirk "you heard nothing." My eyes widens as I stopped laughing 

"Hey can you take me to the airport tomorrow" I randomly ask

"WHY ARE YOU LEAVING" he yelled getting a little scared

"No I'm gonna pick up a friend I haven't seen in forever" I giggle

He sighed "hey thats fine I have to pick up some of the guys anyways they are comign to visit seeing how ornamental next week" he said I nodded and laid down In bed. Matt jump on the beds screamed like a dinosaur " what was that" I laugh really hard "didn't I tell you that I'm a secret dinosaur" he laid next to me i giggle and snuggle my head into his chest he rubbed my back I soon fell asleep.
