Second point of view.

~Your POV~

You, (L/N) (F/N), are so ready for genin level.

But there was this thing.

This...swirl mark.

It affects your regular ninja ability, but you were able to control it somehow. This unexplained symbol gives you the ability to see people's past and feel their emotions, when ironically enough, you don't even know or feel yours.

You don't quite recall what happened in your past or childhood. The farthest you remember is being taken in by a man at the age of 4. He was a kind man, he had a kind smile, and aging hair. His beard was long and bushy (like your pubes [kidding]), his eyes were dark blue, and his hair color a pale lavender.

Notice how that was narrated as 'was.'

That man ended up leaving one day, out of the blue, mysteriously, leaving you alone with no connection to your past what-so-ever and with more questions, along with the fact that he was your last chance to find answers.

How did he find you? Who is he exactly? What part in your life did he play before? So many questions wandered your head that day, ones that you were waiting for the right time to ask. He left when you were about 8. A week before your birthday.

But now, you were about to get picked for a squad. You were so ready. So ready for this. The weird ability slowed your graduation down a bit but you pulled it off in the end. You learned to control the strange thing and passed.

Becoming a shinobi was an achievement to you, you can become strong and you'll fight and defend yourself and no one can look down upon you if you're strong. Or so you thought. It'll also boost up your intelligence and you'll be able to find answers easier.

Knowledge is power.

That weird ability though...it can also help you. As a shinobi and as a person.

Before you learned to control the ability, it always went off at random times and did a number on you each time. Your internal organs felt like they were damaged every time you have an episode, it's like a disease, almost. At these random times, you see people's past, but never future, and even feel what they felt at the time. It's not that you don't have any emotions, but you just can't understand how people react to every little thing, although you do have reactions to big events. You do have friends. You're not alone. You're an orphan and you're not alone.

As you learned because of the ability, and the rumors that everybody talks about, Uzumaki Naruto has no parents, almost similar to you, except you don't know what happened to yours.
