Note from writer: I'm very randomly changing this story to a first person pov because I'm not really enjoying writing in the third person. Hope you still enjoy the story <3

I start walking around the paddock without a destination. The reality is that I'm a little bored. Max has been busy all day with interviews after the qualifying, and I haven't seen Kika yet today. I also haven't seen Charles, which reminds of making a mental note to go see him sometime this weekend. As I'm walking outside the garages, I hear my name being called.

"Amelia!" I turn and find Daniel Ricciardo with his suit hanging on his hips, walking in my direction. "Hi, I don't know if you remember me from the party at Max's."

"Of course I remember you Daniel," I say, giving him a smile.

"I was hoping you didn't, actually. I'm sorry for messing up with your title and the curtsy thing. Max explained to me, after a great smack in the head, that I don't need to do all that," He says and I laugh a little.

"It's ok Daniel, I wasn't offended by it or anything," I say and he actually seems to relax a bit more. I didn't think he would still be hung up on that.

"Great! I hope we can be friends now."

"Yes, I'd love that," I say, meaning it. He does seem like a great person to be around.

"I have to go now, see you soon," He says with a big smile and I wave him goodbye before resuming my walk.

This weekend was a busy one. Today was Friday and the drivers had the qualifying, since tomorrow they would have the sprint. It was also Max's home race, which made it all that much exciting. I haven't met his dad yet and that is making me feel a little nervous, even if I would never admit it to Max.

As I pass through Alpine's garage and peep inside it, I don't see Kika so I go back to where I came from and as I enter Red Bull's garage, I see Max talking to a man that looks a lot like him.

"Hi," I say when I approach the pair. It doesn't take me much time to notice how Max's body language is different than his normal body language. His jaw is tight, his eyebrows are knitted together, even when he looks at me and gives me a little smile, something is off. And if I hadn't figured out that the man he was talking to was Max's dad by how similar they looked, I would have put two and two together by how tense Max was.

"Dad this is Amelia my girlfriend," Max says that with no hesitation, putting an arm around my waist, and I look at him, my heart beating a little fast. The reality is we never had that talk. I know I like him a lot and I think he feels the same way.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Verstappen," I say trying my best to smile. Jos smiles, but it feels a little forced, making my stomach turn. He looks at his son, completely dismissing my presence.

"You did ok with the qualifying, but you better keep your position on Sunday. This is an important race and you've got a lot of people counting on you," Jos says in Dutch, which I pick up with my basic knowledge of the language. I feel Max tense up again, so I start making circular motions with my hand on his back trying to tell him that I'm here for him. He responds by doing the same on my back, making me feel all warm inside.

"I know," it's all Max says. Jos says something else to Max, that I don't quite understand because he almost whispers it, and then leaves. Max runs his hand through his hair and sighs through his nose.

"You're going to do great, ok? I'm proud of you," I tell him and the spark that's usually on his eyes every single time he looks at me comes back.

I kiss him on the lips, not really caring who's watching. It takes a lot to pull back and not just pull him to his drivers room and end the sexual tension there's been between us. We've been sleeping in the same bed for two weeks and nothing has happened.

Later that night, we're both lying on our bed and I can't help but say, "You called me your girlfriend today."

Max looks at me, a kind smile growing in his lips. "I know we haven't really talked about that, but that's how I feel. I'm sorry if it was weird."

"It wasn't weird, I liked it," I tell him, putting my hand on his chest. His hand goes to my cheek and I feel his heart thumping underneath my hand, which confirms to me that I have the same effect on him as he has on me. Whatever was holding me back suddenly disappears, and I press my lips to his in a kiss that takes him a little by surprise, but he's fast to loose himself in it.

I go on top of him deepening the kiss and the feel of his hands on my hips make my face burn. Makes everything in me burn and ache for him. He sits up a little as I take off his shirt and mine is quick to follow leaving me naked from the top up. A chill goes through me and Max switches our positions pulling the blankets on top of us. He looks at me, desire filling his eyes, and I pull him to me, crashing our lips once more.

In a minute, we're both naked and panting as he moves inside me, a ragged breath leaving my lips as I get used to all of him. At first he moves slow, teasing me with little kisses on my neck, which drive me crazy. But then he quickens his thrusts, his eyes closed, his cheeks a little flustered.

There is nothing like this. There's no one like him. He knows where to touch me, he knows what I like, as if he studied me his whole life. And as his name slips out of my lips in a plea and we both climax together, I realize there will never be someone like him and I will never love anyone like I love him.
